NEW DELHI: The Indian Air Force (IAF) issued the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) 1 short notification 2025. As per the notification, the AFCET 2025 registration process will commence on December 2. Interested candidates will be able to fill the AFCAT 1 application form 2025 through the official website at afcat.cdac.in.

As per the schedule, the last date to apply online for AFCAT 1 exam 2025 is December 31, 2024. The AFCAT 2025 recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 336 vacancies of men and women in the department.

The selection process of candidates for AFCAT 1 2025 will include a written test, AFSB Test, and Medical Examination. AFCAT is conducted to select candidates for admission to the Flying Branch and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) branches/NCC Special Entry/Meteorology Entry courses.

AFCAT 2025 eligibility criteria

  • Flying Branch (AFCAT entry):
    • Graduation: Candidates must have a minimum of 60% marks in any undergraduate degree (with Physics and Mathematics at Class 12 level).
    • OR a Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Technology degree with a minimum of 60% marks.
    • Candidates who have completed their CPL with DGCA certification are eligible without the need for the 60% marks in graduation.
  • Ground Duty (Technical):
    • Aeronautical Engineering (Electronics): A minimum of 60% marks in B.Tech/B.E. (with subjects such as Electronics, Electrical, Telecommunication, etc).
    • Aeronautical Engineering (Mechanical): A minimum of 60% marks in B.Tech/B.E. (with subjects such as Mechanical, Aeronautical, Aerospace Engineering).
    • Candidates with MSc (Physics, Mathematics, Electronics, etc.) with at least 60% marks can also apply.
  • Ground Duty (Non-Technical):
    • Administration/Logistics: A minimum of 60% marks in any undergraduate degree.
    • Education: Postgraduate degree in relevant fields with at least 50% marks.
    • Accounts: A minimum of 60% marks in BCom/ MCom.
