NEW DELHI: The Bar Council of India (BCI) has released the provisional AIBE XVIII (18) answer key today, December 12. The answer key of AIBE XVIII (18) 2023 is available for download on its official website, allindiabarexamination.com. The AIBE 18 exam 2023 was conducted on December 10, in around 150 exam centres in the country.
The objection window against the AIBE XVIII (18) answer key will also open soon. The AIBE XVIII (18) results will be announced tentatively in the last week of December.
Law graduates who pass the All India Bar Examination (AIBE) are given the certificate of practice (CoP) by the Bar Council of India, which is a mandatory document for practising law in India. Since AIBE XVIII (18) 2023 is a certificate-based examination, candidates are only required to obtain minimum qualifying marks to pass the exam.
General category candidates have to score at least 45% marks in AIBE whereas, SC, and ST candidates must score at least 40% marks in AIBE to become eligible for a certificate of practice

As per revised BCI rules, candidates must be enrolled with a state bar council before appearing for AIBE exam. It is a necessary condition for becoming an advocate in India.

The Bar Council of India has published the AIBE 18 answer key on its official website - allindiabarexamination.com.
The prescribed qualifying marks or the AIBE cut off can change if there are changes done to the AIBE provisional answer key after considering all the objections. The prescried AIBE cut off is 45% for general and OBC category and 40% for SC/ST category.
The Bar Council of India issues a Certificate of Pracctice to candidates who have successfully qualified the AIBE examination. The CoP is made available through the AIBESCOPE app available for both iOS and Android devices.
Earlier, the AIBE qualifying marks requirement was 40% for general/ OBC candidates and 35% for SC/ST candidates. However, from AIBE 18, BCI has increased the AIBE qualifying percentage for general/OBC category candidates to 45% and SC/ST candidates to 40%.
There are a total of 100 questions in the AIBE examination. Each question weighs one mark and candidates will be awarded one question for each correct response.
