Download NowNEW DELHI: The Bar Council of India (BCI) will close the All India Bar Examination -XVIII (18) application form window tomorrow. Eligible candidates who wish to practice law in the Indian court will have to register for the AIBE 18 exam 2023 at the official website, allindiabarexamination.com.
This year, the BCI has increased the qualifying pass percentage from 40% to 45% for general category candidates. The minimum pass percentage of reserved category has also been increased from 35% to 40% for SC, ST candidates.
The AIBE 18 exam 2023 will be conducted on October 29. Along with the AIBE 18 exam date 2023, the council has also released the complete schedule for registration. As per the schedule, the AIBE 18 form correction window will be opened after the last date of registration and will remain active till October 10. The admit card will be issued on October 20
The council has added a new exam centre at Aizawl in Mizoram from the All India Bar Examination – XVIII onwards. “We are pleased to inform you that Aizawl will now be on the list of existing examination centers,” it said.
Candidates will have to answer 100 multiple-choice questions within a time duration of 3 hours 30 minutes in OMR sheets. In case of 40% and more disability, 20 minutes extra time per hour will be allowed to the candidate. However, such applicants will have to submit the certificate to the invigilator to avail the extra time.
