The Bar Council of India (BCI) has revised the All India Bar Examination (AIBE) passing marks criteria. As per the new criteria, AIBE 19 qualifying marks are 45% for general, OBC candidates and 40% for SC, ST.

The minimum passing marks in the AIBE 19 are 45 per cent for candidates belonging to the general category.

Candidates will be able to download the AIBE 19 results through the official website at allindiabarexamination.com.

There are no limitations on the number of attempts to appear in the AIBE exam.

Candidates who appeared for the exam can check and download their AIBE 19 results by entering their login details such as application number and password. 

Candidates who are declared qualified will get a Certificate of Practice (CoP). The Bar Council of India (BCI) will notify the availability of CoP on its website.

AIBE 19 result 2024 will include details, such as the candidate’s name, enrollment number, result status, name of the father or husband, roll number, photograph, signature, qualifying marks and marks scored by the candidates.

• Once logged in, select the result button.

The passing marks for AIBE 19 2024 is 45 per cent for candidates in the general category. For candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), or Persons with Disabilities (PWD) categories, the passing marks are 40 per cent.

The Bar Council of India (BCI) is expected to declare the AIBE 19 results by last week of January or February.

The BCI will allow 3-year and 5-year LLB students who have enrolled as advocates to appear in the All India Bar Examination (AIBE) as many times as they want. The council clarified that the right to practice will only be for two years under a provisional enrolment.

Candidates may apply to appear in the All India Bar Examination (AIBE) only after enrolling as advocates under Section 24 of the Advocates Act, 1961, the Bar Council of India (BCI) said. The AIBE is a post-enrolment exam “where persons are initially said to be provisionally enrolled on an undertaking that they will pass the AIBE exam within 2 years of said enrolment”.

Only 3-year or 5-year LLB students who have passed out of BCI recognised universities or approved law colleges will be eligible to apply for the All India Bar Examination (AIBE 19). Those who have not procured their degrees or not “have been enrolled or have once been enrolled had surrendered their enrolment, and/ or those who are in final year or final semester LLB, without any backlogs”, are eligible to apply for AIBE.

Candidates belonging to the Other Backward Classes (OBC) category will be required to score 45% marks in the All India Bar Examination (AIBE) 19 exam in order to declared qualified. 

Several AIBE 19 candidates have reported mismatch between the AIBE 19 question paper booklet numbers and the OMR answer sheet number. The Bar Council of India (BCI) has acknowledged the issue and reassured candidates that this will not impact the AIBE 19 results.
