AKTU Counselling 2024: UPTAC to issue BTech admission schedule 'soon'; registration underway
UPTAC BTech Counselling 2024: Admission to BTech and integrated MTech courses at UP engineering colleges will be offered through JEE Main score 2024.

NEW DELHI: Uttar Pradesh Technical Admission Counselling (UPTAC) has started the registration for BTech admission 2024 at the participating universities in the state. The details schedule for AKTU counselling 2024 will be made available ‘soon’, the official website, uptac.admissions.nic.in, read. Candidates who have obtained a valid score in Joint Entrance Examination - Main (JEE Main 2024) will be considered eligible for admission into engineering courses.
Through the JEE Main core, the UPTAC also offers admission into integrated MTech courses. Selection for BTech Agriculture and BTech Biotechnology courses, on the other hand, will be done based on the Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG 2024).
For BTech and MTech Integrated course, candidates should have passed Class 12 board exam and obtained at least 45% marks and SC, ST should have scored 40% marks in the subjects taken together. Those who have passed DVoc stream in the same or allied sector will also be eligible.
For candidates from rural areas, “a weightage of 3% of the total marks obtained in the entrance exam, JEE Main 2024/ NATA-2024/ CUET UG 2024 will be given to such UPGE candidates for BTech/ BPharm/ BArch/ BHMCT/ BFAD/ BFA/ BVoc courses, who have passed the qualifying examination from an institution situated in rural area of Uttar Pradesh”.
Interested and eligible candidates will have to pay an AKTU counselling registration fee of Rs 1,000. The payment can be made through debit, credit card, UPI methods. The last date to apply for the counselling has not been announced. The registration last date, fee payment, document verification schedule will be issued soon.
