JEE Advanced Cut-off 2024: BTech course options at IITs for low rank holders

NEW DELHI: The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has announced to declare the round 1 JoSAA seat allotment result 2024 for Joint Entrance Examination - Advanced (JEE Advanced 2024) qualified candidates tomorrow, June 20. Admission to Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) are done through JoSAA counselling on the basis of the rank obtained by the candidates in JEE Advanced 2024.
There will be a total of six rounds of JoSAA counselling 2024 to fill seats in IITs, National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), Government-funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs). Round 5 will be held for admission to IITs and the subsequent round for NIT+system only.
Candidates were provided an opportunity to fill choices of courses and colleges in the order of preference and the options were auto locked yesterday. Based on the preference submitted, the JoSAA seat allotment results 2024 will be declared tomorrow.
The seat allocation authority earlier issued two rounds of mock merit list to apprise candidates of the admission chances on the basis of the choices entered. The facility also helps candidates to make changes in the order of preference.
In the next step, candidates who are allocated seats in round 1 will have to report online, make fee payment, upload documents for verification between June 20 to 24. In this period, candidates will have to respond to queries, if required.
