Alliance School of Law to host national moot court competition

Alliance School of Law will be hosting the national moot court competition 2023 on February 25, 26. 38 teams from across India to participate.

NEW DELHI: Alliance School of Law, Bangalore will be holding the Justice N Santosh Hegde national moot court competition on February 25 and 26, 2023. A total of 38 teams from top law schools will be participating in the event.

The annual competition aims to provide the students with a platform for law students to showcase their advocacy skills and compete with each other in a stimulated court environment. The participating teams are from states including West Bengal, Kerala, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, and Telangana.

The 38 teams will be competing against each other in a preliminary round representing both, petitioner and respondent. The selected teams will move to the knockout rounds, quarterfinals, semi-finals and the final round. The event is begin organised by a team of 30 students and seven faculty members from Alliance School of Law.

The preliminary round of the national moot court competition will be judged by alumni of the law school and over 25 professionals working in the field. The panel for the semi-final round consist of Nucleus Office Parks (Blackstone Commercial Entity), assistant vice-president, Priyesh Sharma; LinkLegal, partner, Gaurav Sahay; PES University, associate dean, Sujith Surendran and IFIM Law School. principal, Sunil George, Principal, IFIM Law school.

The judges of the final round are former Judge of the Karnataka High Court, Justice Michael D'Cunha and founder of Flywork.io and general counsel of Microland, Roopa Prasad Doraswamy.
