NEW DELHI: Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham opens applications for bachelor and master of arts (BA, MA) programmes in mass communication. Interested candidates can apply at amrita.edu.

Candidates applying for the bachelor's course require a minimum of 50% marks in their class 12 board exam while the master's programme requires a minimum of 50% marks in their UG degree programme. The applicants will be selected on the basis of the offline amrita university entrance exam 2023- communication aptitude test (CAP TEST) on April 12, 2023 followed by a personal interview.

The mass communication programmes offered at Amrita University includes courses in print journalism, multimedia and online journalism, photography, television production, web design and animation, advertising, public relations, event management and digital marketing production.

The courses offered are a combination of modules related to core media and mass communication subjects, humanities allied disciplines such as sociology, anthropology, environmental science among others along with open electives that focuses on building social responsibility.

Amrita University's mass communication programmes have built-in media based projects such as online and broadcast options, multi-disciplinary academic research and a one-month mandatory internship. Students will get opportunities to showcase their skills and work with government, non-governmental, corporate and media organisations. The students will also have access to skill enhancement workshops, expert lectures, on-the-job training, and field visits.
