NEW DELHI: The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) will end the registration process for the Andhra Pradesh Engineering Agriculture, Pharmacy Common Entrance Test (AP EAPCET) 2024 category B today, August 15. The selection of candidates, based on merit order as specified in the relevant government order, will take place on August 21, 2024.
Eligible candidates seeking admission to Bachelor of Engineering (BE), Bachelor of Technology (BTech), and Pharmacy courses under the Category-B Non-Resident Indian (NRI) quota seats can register through the official website, eapcet-sche.aptonline.in.
As per the official notice, candidates who have qualified in the AP EAPCET or Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) 2024 are required to pay a registration fee of Rs 1,000. For those who did not appear for or did not qualify in the AP EAPCET or JEE 2024, the registration fee is Rs 1,200 per candidate.
AP EAPCET 2024: Admission criteria
Candidates can check the admission criteria for NRI and other category seats in All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) approved institutions provided below.
As per the official notice, AICTE-approved institutions are permitted to fill up to 15% of NRI seats and will admit NRI with at least 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination or a CGPA of 5 on a 10-point scale in the qualifying exam.
The remaining seats will be filled on merit with candidates, including those from other states and union territories, who have secured a rank in JEE (Mains) or NEET 2024 and have obtained at least 45% marks (40% for reserved categories) in the relevant subjects in the qualifying exam.
The seats remaining unfilled from the above categories shall be filled with eligible candidates who have qualified in APEAPCET-2024, based on merit, and have secured at least 45% marks (40% for reserved categories) in the relevant subjects in the qualifying examination.
