AP LAWCET, PGLCET 2026 counselling schedule out; registration begins

The Commissionerate of Higher Education, Andhra Pradesh, has commenced the AP Law Common Entrance Test (LAWCET) and AP Post Graduate Law Common Entrance Test (PGLCET) 2026 counselling registration today, September 24. Qualified and eligible candidates can register for admission to three-year and five-year LLB and LLM programmes for the 2026-27 academic year through the Common Admissions Portal (CAP) at cap.apcfss.in. The last date to register is September 29, 2026.

For the three-year LLB programme, candidates must hold a degree or equivalent qualification. The minimum qualifying marks are 45% for OC candidates, 42% for BC candidates and 40% for SC/ST candidates. Admission will be based on the AP LAWCET 2026 rank.

For the five-year LLB programme, candidates must have passed Intermediate or an equivalent examination. The minimum marks requirement is 45% for OC, 42% for BC and 40% for SC/ST candidates. AP LAWCET 2026 rank will be considered for admission.

For LLM admissions, candidates must hold a three-year or five-year LLB degree and qualify through the AP PGLCET 2026 rank.

A single AP LAWCET registration and PGLCET can be used for one or multiple eligible UG/PG law programmes, although a separate fee has to be paid for each test code.

AP LAWCET, PGLCET 2026 counselling schedule

The Phase-I counselling schedule has been announced for the convenor quota. Online certificate verification will be conducted from September 25 to October 2, while candidates can exercise web options from September 29 to October 2. The seat allotment result will be released on October 6.

AP LAWCET, PGLCET 2026 Counselling: Steps to register

Candidates are required to complete the AP LAWCET registration process, upload the necessary certificates and participate in web counselling. Candidates must note that, aadhaar-based authentication is compulsory to submitting applications directly through the CAP portal. Follow these steps to complete the AP LAWCET, PGLCET 2026 counselling registration:

• Visit the official AP LAWCET/PGLCET counselling portal: cap.apcfss.in
• Click on the AP LAWCET/PGLCET 2026 Admissions registration link.
• Enter the required basic details and complete Aadhaar-based authentication.
• Upload the required certificates and documents in PDF format.
• Pay the counselling processing fee.
• Submit the registration form.

Candidates need to pay a processing fee while submitting their AP LAWCET counselling and PGLCET application. The fee is Rs 550 for SC, ST and PwBD candidates, while candidates in other categories have to pay Rs 1,050. The payment can be made through UPI, credit card, debit card or net banking.
