Subscribe NowNEW DELHI: The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has announced the exam dates for the group 2 mains exam 2024. Candidates who qualify the prelims exam will be eligible for the APPSC group 2 mains exam 2024.
As per the official notice, the APPSC group 2 mains exam will take place on January 5, 2025, in 13 districts of Andhra Pradesh. The APPSC mains exam will be held in two sessions, forenoon and afternoon. The APPSC Group 2 admit card for mains will be available for download at least two weeks before the exam date.
“In continuation to the web note 03.07.2024, it is hereby informed that the Mains Written Examination for Group-II Services (Notification No.11/2023) is scheduled to be held on 05.01.2025 FN & AN in all erstwhile 13 districts of Andhra Pradesh,” the official notice read.
The commission further informed that since around 1 Lakh candidates will be appearing for this examination, the date was fixed taking into consideration the forthcoming DSC examination, the SSC and Intermediate Board Examinations.
Candidates can check the detailed notice by visiting the official website, psc.ap.gov.in. The commission announced the results for the group 2 prelims exam 2024 on April 10. A total of 92,250 candidates have qualified for the APPSC group 2 mains exam 2024, with 2,557 applications rejected due to various reasons.
The APPSC has revised the total vacancies for the group 2 exam 2024. The recruitment drive now aims to fill 905 vacancies across executive and non-executive roles in various departments, increasing from the previously announced 897 positions.

APPSC Group 2 mains 2024 exam pattern
The APPSC group 2 mains exam will have two papers, each carrying 150 marks, with all questions in objective format. The exam will be conducted offline in OMR format, with each correct answer awarded one mark. A negative marking scheme will apply, deducting one-third of a mark for every incorrect response.
