Assam Govt invites application for PG Research Scholarship 2023; stipends, eligibility

Assam PG Scholarship 2023 Scheme: PhD, MPhil, PG LLM students will be able to apply from November 21 to December 5.
NEW DELHI: Assam Directorate of higher education has invited applications for PG Research Scholarship Scheme 2023. Students who fulfil the eligibility requirements will be able to apply on the official website, dhe-operations.assam.gov.in/scholarship, from November 21 to December 5. The copy of the application should be submitted to the registrar, principal or the head of the institution along with the required documents.
The application form will be verified by the principals of the colleges or universities and the hard copy has to be sent to the Directorate of Higher Education, Assam, Kahilipara, Guwahati-781019 under his seal and signature on or before December 11.
Assam PG Scholarship 2023: Documents
The list of documents to be submitted by the candidates are given below.
- Certificate from the registrar or head of the institution where the candidate is currently studying
- Certificate from research guide or copy of admission receipt.
- Final mark sheet of last qualifying examinations.
- Photograph and signature of the candidate.
- Copy of Aadhaar card.
“The selected candidates will have to execute a bond before awarding the scholarship to the effect that the entire scholarship amount drawn by the scholar shall be refunded if he/she discontinues the research work / study during the tenure of scholarship or violate any terms and conditions of the award,” the state education department said.

Assam PG Scholarship 2023: Eligibility
- Students should have good academic records and should have obtained at least 55% marks in the last qualifying examinations.
- Those pursuing LLM, MPhil, PhD, postdoctoral research in any recognized university for the session 2023-2024 are eligible.
- The student must be a domicile of Assam.
- Should have a valid bank account in their name, preferably in SBI. The details have to be submitted along with the application.
- Scholarship amount will be disbursed through DBT system to the beneficiaries.
- Selection will be strictly on the basis of merit and is restricted to budget allocation.
- Application forms that are incomplete or contain misinformation or an inactive account number will not be considered.
