BHU Placements 2024: Management students grab top positions; highest offer Rs 23.5 LPA

NEW DELHI: The Institute of Management Studies at Banaras Hindu University (BHU) conducted campus placement drive for 2024 session graduates. The average salary package offered during the placement drive was Rs 11.1 lakh per annum (LPA). The highest salary package offered was Rs 23.5 LPA.
Ashutosh Mohan, Placement Coordinator at Faculty of Management Studies - BHU, highlighted that students from MBA, MBA International Business, and MBA Agribusiness achieved impressive placements, with an average package of Rs 11.1 lakhs across 181 offers extended to 165 students, setting a high standard for the upcoming year.
BHU Placements 2024: Over 65 companies participated
The placement drive featured participation from over 65 companies, encompassing prominent names such as Infosys, Genpact, Cognizant, Mahindra Finance, Adani Wilmar, and Volvo Eicher Commercial Vehicle, among others.
HP Mathur, Dean & Head of Corporate Affairs & Placement at FMS-BHU, expressed gratitude for the consistent trust shown by recruiters. He noted that 36% of students secured roles as Executive or Management Trainees, with diverse profiles including Sales & Marketing, Finance, Business Excellence, Strategy & Projects, Alliance & Electronic Payments, and Retail Operations.
21% grabbed Senior Consultant roles
Additionally, 21% of students grabbed Associate or Senior Consultant roles, followed by 13% in Assistant or Deputy Manager positions.
Significant roles in consulting and analytics were offered by leading IT firms like Cognizant, Infosys, Genpact, and others, while prominent players in the BFSI sector such as South Indian Bank, Bandhan Bank, and SBI Life recruited students across multiple domains including marketing, finance, operations, and HR.
In the Agribusiness sector, DCM Shriram Farm Solutions hired several MBA (Agribusiness) students, along with others receiving Pre-Placement Offers.
Mathur acknowledged the dedicated efforts of the student placement coordination team, comprising Abhijeet Chakraverty, Harshita Sharan Srivastava, Pranjal K Rai, Abhishek Yadav, Parul Bahotra, and Premanshu Singh, throughout the placement season.
Ashish Bajpai, Director at FMS-BHU, commended the team's efforts and underscored the pivotal role of faculty members in preparing students as industry-ready professionals. He praised students for their enthusiasm and commitment to making substantial contributions in HR, Finance, and Marketing domains.
