BHU researchers present research on positive psychology at international conference in Brussels
The team of researchers comprised seven members, who had conducted research on implications of positive psychology in the workplace.

NEW DELHI: Researchers of the department of psychology and the faculty of social sciences of the Banaras Hindu University (BHU) presented their research centred on positive psychology at the International Convention of Psychological Science (ICPS), held recently in Brussels, Belgium, a statement from the university said.
The team comprised professors Yogesh Kumar Arya, Sandeep Kumar, assistant professor Tushar Singh, senior research fellow Aishwarya Jaiswal, junior research fellow Shubham Pandey, Saumya Chandra and Akanksha Shrivastava. BHU was the only central university representing India at the convention. Experts from as many as 75 countries had taken part in the convention, a statement from the university said.

The statements from the university also informed that other scientists and researchers working in the field of psychology were also in attendance at the convention. BHU officials said that the researchers had conducted the research work on implications of positive psychology in the workplace, mindfulness and spirituality in the workplace context, issues in tribal education, psychology of acid attack victims and struggles of transgenders in India.
The researchers had partially been funded with a travel grant by the Institution of Eminence of BHU, to present their research at the convention. ICPS is biennially organised by the Association of Psychological Science.
