BHU UG admission 2022 through CUET; University releases information bulletin

NEW DELHI: Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has released the information bulletin for undergraduate (UG) admissions for the 2022-23 academic year. The BHU Undergraduate Entrance Test (UET) 2022 will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) on the official website cuet.samarth.ac.in, the university said. BHU UG admission 2022 will be based on the merit in the BHU-UET 2022 subject to fulfillment of eligibility requirements of the course for which the candidate has applied.

The last date to apply for the Central University Common Entrance Test (CUET 2022) is May 6. The CUET 2022 exam is scheduled for the first or second week of July, 2022.

The BHU UG admission 2022 information bulletin provides details on minimum eligibility requirements, age limit, duration of the course, fee structure, relaxations etc. Candidates who wish to get admission in BHU are required to know the admission criteria before registering.

There is an age relaxation of 5 years in upper age limit for candidates belonging to SC/ST and PWD categories and 3 years in upper age limit for candidates belonging to OBC category for admissions in various courses wherever the age limit is prescribed, the notice read.

15% seats will be reserved for Scheduled Caste and 7.5% seats for Scheduled Tribe in each course. Admission against these seats will be made provided the candidate has passed the CUET exam.

27% reservation to candidates belonging to OBC category (excluding under creamy layer) will be provided in different courses. 10% reservation for Economically Weaker Sections and 5% seats Persons with Disability (PwD).

“There is provision for supernumerary “paid seats”, not exceeding 15% of the total number of seats) in certain courses, the details of which will be available at the time of admission from the concerned Faculty/Department. However, no such provision is available for Special Courses,” the information bulletin read.
