Bihar STET 2023 was held from September 4 to 15 and answer keys have been published. The answer keys can be used to calculate the probable score in exam. 

A total of 82.90 percent of candidates have qualified paper 1 whereas 74.37% have qualified the paper 2.

A total of 4,28,387 candidates registered for Bihar STET 2023 including 2,71,872 for paper 1 and 1,56,515 for paper 2. Of total registered, 3,76,877 appeared for both the papers.

No, there is no negative marking in Bihar STET 2023 exam as per the exam pattern. The question paper included multiple-choice questions and candidates will be awarded one mark for each correct answer. 

In Bihar State Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) exam conducted in 2019, a total of 1,78,516 candidates appeared for the exam whereas almost 25,000 candidates qualified overall. Of total passed, 16,068 candidates passed in paper 1 while over 8,500 students passed in paper 2. 

In order to qualify Bihar State Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) 2023, candidates belonging to the general category will require 50 percent marks whereas reserved category candidates will need 45% marks in the exam. 

In April, Bihar government introduced new rules for the recruitment of teachers. As per the new rules -- Bihar State School Teachers (Appointment, Transfer, Disciplinary Action and Service Condition) Rules, 2023, candidates who qualify the Teacher Eligibility Test are now required to write another exam.
