BITSoM Mumbai holds convocation ceremony for 2023 MBA batch; 137 students receive degrees
BITS Pilani chancellor Mangalam Birla presided over the convocation ceremony. The batch was the first one to receive MBA degrees from the institute.

NEW DELHI: The BITS school of management (BITSoM) hosted the convocation ceremony for the MBA students of the 2021-23 batch. As many as 137 students received their MBA degrees in the ceremony. The ceremony was held at NCPA, Mumbai. Over 600 people including the MBA students, their family members and faculty members of the MBA course were present in the ceremony.
Chief executive officer and Managing director of Kotak Mahindra Bank, Uday Kotak was invited as the chief guest on the occasion, while the ceremony was presided over by BITS Pilani chancellor Mangalam Birla.

In his address, Birla congratulated the first batch of MBA students, their families and friends and the faculty members. He said: "Taking the long view, think of payoffs longitudinally over a period of time. I know that as ambitious, driven youngsters, that is not always easy in the moment, but trust me, it helps. Great leaders understand that pioneering breakthroughs take time and require a lot of patience".
He also encouraged all the students to build a band of co-travellers. Post this, Kotak lauded the efforts of Birla in making young India future ready and extended his vote of congratulations to the students. He said to the students: "Entrepreneurs fail when they are not professional enough and professionals fail when they are not entrepreneurial enough".
Following this, Birla, Kotak, vice-chancellor V Ramgopal Rao and other officials led the ceremonial march of the graduating class and later awarded degrees to the students.
