BML Munjal University launches MA in Public Policy; Rs 6 lakh fee for two years

The curriculum for the MA in Public Policy focuses on building critical thinking, ethical grounding, and real-world problem-solving capabilities for future policy professionals, BML Munjal University said.
BML Munjal University has launched an MA programme in Public Policy for students from various institutions. The two-year programme, launched by the university’s School of Liberal Studies, will equip students with interdisciplinary knowledge and practical skills across governance, technology, climate, and social development.
The MA in Public Policy programme will commence in August 2026, and the total fee for the two-year masters course is Rs 6 lakh.
The curriculum of the masters programme focuses on building critical thinking, ethical grounding, and real-world problem-solving capabilities for future policy professionals, according to an official statement.

Masters in Public Policy curriculum
Arindam Banerjee, dean - School of Liberal Studies, BML Munjal University, said: “We are at a moment where multiple transitions, be it geopolitical, technological, ecological, or economic, are reshaping the context in which public policy operates. The MA in Public Policy programme has been designed keeping these shifts in mind, with a focus on interdisciplinary learning and real-world engagement.”
The MA Public Policy course will be held across two years and contain four semesters. The curriculum will develop analytical foundations and culminate in applied policy work.
The university stated that the objective of the programme is also to prepare students to respond to policy challenges and approach them with a grounded, inclusive, and sensitive attitude towards the needs of diverse communities.
Jayati Ghosh, professor of economics at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, at the launch of MA in Public Policy Programme, said: “We are living in a time when economic growth and inequality must be understood together, and public policy has a critical role in shaping more inclusive and sustainable outcomes.”
