The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has postponed the declaration of the Assistant Engineer (Civil, Mechanical and Electrical) Competitive Examination 2025 results following a stay order issued by the Patna High Court. The BPSC AE result 2026 will be published after the completion of the legal process.

Patna HC stay delays BPSC AE result

According to the notice, the commission said the results for Advertisement Nos. 29/2025, 30/2025 and 31/2025 could not be published because of an ongoing court case. The matter is related to CWJC No. 3972/2026, in which the court, through its order dated March 23, 2026, stayed the notification issued under Memo No. 2079(S) dated March 9, 2026 until further orders.

The commission quoted from the court's order in its notice, "The notification contained in Memo No. 2079 (S) dated 09.03.2026 shall be stayed till further order."

As no further order has been received vacating the stay, the commission said the publication of the BPSC AE result 2025 has been kept on hold.

BPSC asks candidates to ignore rumours

The commission also urged candidates not to pay attention to rumours regarding the BPSC assistant engineer result 2025.

BPSC said in a post on its official X account, "Candidates are requested not to pay attention to any kind of rumours or speculations and to continue preparing for their upcoming examinations. The results will be published at the earliest upon completion of the statutory and judicial process."

The commission reiterated that it is committed to declaring examination results as early as possible. However, it said legal or procedural issues sometimes delay the publication of results despite its efforts to complete the process promptly after the examination.
