BPSC headmaster registration window re-opens; apply by May 16

NEW DELHI: The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has re-opened the registration window for the headmaster posts at bpsc.bih.nic.in. Eligible candidates who have not applied yet can fill out the BPSC headmaster application form 2024 by visiting the official website.

The BPSC headmaster application window will be open till May 16. The BPSC recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 6,061 headmaster posts for primary schools under the state's education department.

According to the official notice, candidates eligible for the post must fall within the maximum age limit as of January 23, 2006. An exemption period was granted from August 1, 2022, to August 1, 2023, for candidates fulfilling other qualifications. Those who availed of this exemption and were unable to apply online by the specified date have been given an extension.

Candidates are required to have a postgraduate degree with at least 50% marks to qualify for the BPSC headmaster exam. For candidates belonging to categories such as other backward class (OBC), scheduled caste (SC), scheduled tribe (ST), persons with disabilities (PwD), women, and economically weaker section (EWS), there is a 5% relaxation in the qualifying degree criteria.

Additionally, candidates should have a valid score in the Bihar Teacher Eligibility Test (TET). However, candidates employed in schools affiliated with boards such as the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), the Indian School Certificate Examinations (ICSE), and the Bihar School Education Board (BSEB) are exempted from providing TET scores.

Candidates should follow the steps given below to fill out the BPSC application form 2024.

• Visit the official website bpsc.bih.nic.in.

• On the homepage, click the “Apply Online” tab.

• Now, click on the headmaster application link.

• Enter the login details and fill out the application form.

• Download the application form and take a printout for future reference.
