BPSSC Police Recruitment 2026: Candidates can check their Bihar police result for sub-inspector posts on the official website, bpssc.bihar.gov.in

The Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) has announced the Bihar Police Sub-Inspector (SI) preliminary examination result 2026 today, March 16. Candidates who appeared for the written test can check the Bihar police results on the official website, bpssc.bihar.gov.in. A total of 31,876 candidates have qualified for the next stage of the selection process.
The Bihar Police SI Result 2026 has been published as a PDF, listing the roll numbers of candidates selected for the next stage — the mains examination.
The BPSSC recruitment drive is being held to fill 1,799 Sub-Inspector of Police vacancies.
According to the Bihar Police result 2026, a total of 10,36,702 candidates had registered for the prelims exam, and 7,26,231 of them appeared for the SI written test.

A total of 29,272 candidates were disqualified due to procedural errors or misconduct during the exam. The reasons include: 14 for misconduct, 14,591 for writing the wrong roll number on the OMR sheet, 9,992 for incorrect question booklet numbers, 529 for not signing the OMR sheet, 1,139 for not writing the Hindi paragraph, 2,851 for not writing the English paragraph, and 156 for not writing both Hindi and English paragraphs.
After excluding these disqualified candidates, the BPSSC Bihar police SI answer sheets of 6,96,959 candidates were evaluated.
Shortlisted candidates will be eligible for the Bihar Police SI mains exam, and to be finally selected, they must clear the mains exam, physical efficiency test (PET), physical standard test (PST), and document verification.
