Students can apply for scrutiny between March 25 and April 2, 2026. During this period, candidates can request a re-evaluation of specific subjects where they believe discrepancies may have occurred.
While applying, students are advised to review their results carefully, as the outcome of the scrutiny process will be treated as final.
This opportunity gives students a chance to have their answer sheets rechecked in case of any possible errors in evaluation. The scrutiny process will be conducted online, and the board is expected to share detailed instructions soon to guide applicants through the procedure.
Bihar Board Class 12 Result 2026: Second chance through special exams
The board has also announced that applications for the intermediate special examination 2026 and the intermediate compartmental examination 2026 will be open during the same dates.
These exams offer a valuable second chance to students who could not clear one or more subjects in the main examination, helping them stay on track academically. BSEB plans to release the results of these exams by May 31, 2026.
Bihar Board Class 12 Result 2026
BSEB has announced the Class 12 results for 2026 , recording an overall pass percentage of 85.19%. Aditya Prakash Aman topped the science stream with an impressive 96.20%. In the arts stream, the top position was secured by Nishu Kumari with 95.80%, while in commerce, Aditi Kumari topped with 96%.
This year, girls have outperformed boys, particularly in the arts and commerce streams. More than 13 lakh students appeared for the exams, with strong performances seen across all streams, highlighting the competitive academic environment in the state.
