BSEB Matric Exam 2025: Bihar Board expels 24 Class 10 students, catches 18 impersonators in 2 days

Download EBookNEW DELHI: Bihar School of Examination Board (BSEB) has caught 18 impersonators and expelled 24 students in the first two days of the Bihar Matric Class 10 board exam 2025. The state board started conducting the BSEB 10th board exam on February 17 for nearly 16 lakh students in 1,677 exam centres.
To tighten the security to ensure fair and transparent exams, the Bihar Board issued guidelines for special arrangements, and CCTV camera installation. The guidelines also restricted the entry of unauthorized people inside the exam hall, prohibited students from wearing shoes and socks, and instead suggested wearing sandals to avoid cheating in exams.
The board is conducting the BSEB 10th public exam 2025 in two shifts - the first sitting from 9:30 am to 12:45 pm and the second sitting from 2 pm to 5:15 pm. Students have been instructed to arrive at the exam centres at least 30 minutes before the exam commences.
Taking note of forced entry incidents in the past, the board has announced that the students found trespassing at the exam centre s after the allowed exam timings will be barred for two years and a First Information Report (FIR) will be filed against them.
BSEB Matric 10th day 1 exam
The Bihar Board Class 10 exam 2025 is being conducted for a total of 15,85,868 students, out of which 8,18,122 girls and 7,67,746 boys. Students appeared for the Hindi, Bengali, Urdu, and Maithili subjects on day 1.
As per the Times of India report, seven impersonators and five students were expelled on February 17.
Students were given 15 minutes reading time to go through the questions. 73 exam centres were made in Patna for 71,669 students.
BSEB Class 10 Board Exam: Day 2
BSEB chairman Anand Kishore conducted surprise inspections in some of the exam centres to ensure that the sanctity of the exam is maintained. Despite strict guidelines, the number of students who were involved in malpractice saw an increase. On day 2 of the Bihar board exam 2025 , a total of 11 impersonators and 19 students from 8 districts got expelled during the mathematics exam , the BSEB said. Moreover, three impersonators each in Nalanda, Banka, and Khagaria districts and 2 impersonators in Supaul district were caught on Tuesday.
