NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has commenced the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025 registration process for session 1. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the JEE Main 2025 January session by visiting the official website – jeemain.nta.nic.in. The JEE Mains 2025 registration deadline is November 22. The JEE Mains 2025 session 1 will be conducted from January 22 to 31, and Session 2 from April 1 to 8.

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham has announced that the Amrita Entrance Examination – Engineering AEEE 2025 phase 1 will be conducted on February 1 and 2. The AEEE 2025 registration has been extended to January 20, earlier it was January 7. The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) has also announced the GUJCET 2025 exam date. The GUJCET 2025 exam will be held on March 23, 2025. GUJCET 2025 registration will open on January 25. The GUJCET 2025 registration deadline is February 25.
Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) has started registration for its Manipal Entrance Test (MET) 2025, with the application form now available on the official website, manipal.edu. The MET 2025 registration deadline is March 15, and the exam dates are yet to be announced.
Registration details for the Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) 2025 and SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Exam (SRMJEEE) 2025 are expected in early November. The registration process for BITSAT 2025, conducted by BITS Pilani, is likely to begin in January.
State-level engineering entrance exams are also a gateway for students to gain admission to undergraduate engineering programmes across local state colleges. Maharashtra conducts the MHT CET, while WBJEE serves as the gateway for engineering colleges in West Bengal. TS EAMCET and AP EAMCET are held in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, to fill seats in engineering, agriculture, and medical streams. Kerala’s engineering aspirants may appear for the KEAM, and KCET is popular in Karnataka. OJEE in Odisha also facilitate state-level engineering admissions.

As per the exam pattern, the question paper will comprise of multiple-choice questions. There will be three papers carrying 100 marks each.

The VITEEE (VIT Engineering Entrance Examination) is conducted for several key reasons:

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) conducts WBJEE for admission to engineering and other programmes offered by colleges across the state. Around 30,000 BTech seats remain vacant in engineering colleges across Karnataka despite several rounds of KCET and COMEDK counselling 2024. The empty seats are a result of massive increase in the number of seats and fee hike. AICTE removed ban on new engineering colleges a year ago.
MHT CET 2025 will be conducted for admission to BTech programmes offered by engineering colleges across Maharashtra. The registration process is expected to begin in January, based on past year's trends. Candidates who have passed Class 12 or its equivalent exam and have Indian nationality are eligible for applying for Maharashtra Common Entrance Test. As per the exam pattern, the question paper will comprise of multiple-choice questions. There will be three papers carrying 100 marks each.

There is no age limit for candidates appearing in JEE Main 2025. Candidates who have passed their Class 12 or equivalent examination in 2023, 2024 or are appearing in 2025, regardless of their age, are eligible to take the JEE Main 2025 exam.
The VITEEE 2025 syllabus requires candidates to study subjects including mathematics, physics, chemistry, aptitude, and English. For BPharma admissions, mathematics will be replaced by biology. The VITEEE 2025 syllabus aligns with the content and difficulty level of Class 12.
The duration of AEEE 2025 exam will be 2 hours 30 minutes.
