NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has commenced the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025 registration for session 1. Interested and eligible candidates can fill up the JEE Main 2025 registration form by visiting the official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in. As per the latest updates, the deadline to apply for the entrance exam is November 22. The JEE Main 2025 session 1 will be held from January 22 to 31, while session 2 is scheduled from April 1 to 8.

Alongside the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main, numerous national and state-level exams offer pathways to top engineering institutions in India. The Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani, conducts the Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test (BITSAT) for admission to undergraduate engineering courses at its campuses in Pilani, Goa, and Hyderabad. The BITSAT 2025 exam date is expected to be announced today.
The Vellore Institute of Technology has begun the registration process for the Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) 2025. The exam is scheduled to take place from April 21 to 27, with the registration deadline set for March 31. Candidates can access the registration link on the official website – viteee.vit.ac.in.
Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham will conduct the Amrita Entrance Examination – Engineering (AEEE) 2025 phase 1 on February 1 and 2. The AEEE registration deadline has been extended to January 20. Meanwhile, Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) has opened registration for the Manipal Entrance Test (MET) 2025, with forms available on manipal.edu. The MET application deadline is March 15, with exam dates yet to be announced.

BITS Pilani will announce the BITS Admission Test (BITSAT) 2025 exam date and registration date soon. The exam is held for admission to undergraduate engineering programmes offered by the institute. Candidates must have secured a minimum aggregate of 75% marks in physics, chemistry, and mathematics (PCM) in Class 12. Additionally, a minimum of 60% marks is required in the each subject.
In an advisory regarding the Aadhaar Card authentification for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains 2025, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has asked candidates to close the pop-up window and enter the name exactly written on their Aadhaar ID. This comes after several aspirants complained of technical issues. NTA informed that the problem is arising due to a mismatch in the name of students on their Class 10 educational certificate and on the Aadhaar Card.
Andhra Pradesh Engineering, Agriculture, and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test (AP EAPCET) 2025 exam date will be announced soon. APSCHE will announce the AP EAMCET 2025 notification including the exam date, registration details, application fee, and other information on cets.apsche.ap.gov.in. As a result of increase in engineering seats in colleges across Karnataka, BTech seats are going vacant despite counselling through the engineering entrance exams, Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) and COMEDK UGET. More than 30,000 BTech seats have been found unallotted in engineering colleges despite several rounds of counselling. Another reason for the vacancies, raised by students, is fee hike. Since AICTE lifted the ban on new engineering colleges and courses, the state saw a massive increase in seat intake.
The National Testing Agency will conduct the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains 2025 session 1 in January 2025. JEE Main 2025 will be held from January 22 to January 31, 2025. The exam will determine the eligibility of aspirants for admission to undergraduate BTech and BArch programmes at the National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and others.
For the first time, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras has admitted five students to its BTech programme through the sports quota. Introduced last year, the policy requires candidates to qualify the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2025 and to be having at least one medal in the last four years in a national or international competition.
The Common Entrance Test (CET) cell, Maharashtra will announce the MHT CET 2025 exam date soon on the official website, cetcell.mahacet.org. According to the exam pattern, the MHT CET will consist of three question papers having multiple-choice questions. Each paper will carry a total of 100 marks. In paper 1, candidates will be awarded two marks for each correct answer while in paper 2 and 3, the students will be given one mark per question.
The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) will conduct GUJCET 2025 on March 23. The GUJCET 2025 registrations will begin from January 25.
As per the official brochure, the JEE Mains 2025 result will be declared by February 12.
AEEE 2025 exam will be held on February 1 and 2. Similar to previous year, the AEEE 2025 exam is expected to be held in 3 slots- from 9 am to 11: 30 am, 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm and 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
There is no age limit for candidates appearing in JEE Main 2025. Candidates who have passed their Class 12 or equivalent examination in 2023, 2024 or are appearing in 2025, regardless of their age, are eligible to take the JEE Main 2025 exam.

JEE Mains 2025 will be conducted in English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
The VITEEE 2025 will consists of 125 questions divided into mathematics or biology (40 questions), physics (35 questions), chemistry (35 questions), aptitude (10 questions), and English (five questions).
The total marks for JEE Main 2025 paper 1 is 300 marks. The JEE Main 2025 total marks for paper 2 is 400 marks
The Manipal Entrance Test (MET) 2025 registration deadline is March 15.
As per the NTA revised pattern, there will be no optional questions in section B of the JEE Mains 2025 exam.
SRMJEEE 2025 exam is expected to be held in two phases (as per past trends). SRMJEEE 2025 phase 1 will likely be conducted in April and phase 2 in June 2025.

In MET 2025, candidates will get 4 marks for each correct answer. For multiple-choice questions (MCQs), 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect response, while no marks will be deducted for incorrect answers in numerical answer type (NAT) questions.
The AEEE 2025 registration deadline for phase 1 exam is January 20.

To address name mismatches during Aadhaar authentication in the JEE Mains 2025 registration, the NTA has issued an advisory regarding the the application process. Candidates who see a pop-up message indicating a name discrepancy are required to close the message. A new window will then open, allowing them to proceed with Aadhaar authentication by entering their name exactly as it appears on their Aadhaar card. There is no age limit for candidates appearing in JEE Main 2025. Candidates who have passed their Class 12 or equivalent examination in 2023 or 2024, or are appearing in 2025, are eligible to take the JEE Main 2025 exam, irrespective of their age.
According to the age limit criteria, candidates born on or after July 1, 2004, and up to June 30, 2009, are eligible to take the entrance exam.
Candidates can apply for JEE (Main) 2025 session 1 and session 2 through the “Online” mode only. The application form in any other mode will not be accepted.

Nearly 30,000 BTech seats remain vacant in engineering colleges across Karnataka, despite several rounds of counselling for the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) and the Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka Under Graduate Entrance Test (COMEDK) 2024. According to the age limit criteria, candidates born on or after July 1, 2004, and up to June 30, 2009, are eligible to take the entrance exam. Additionally, students must have passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination from a recognized board, achieving a minimum aggregate of 60% in mathematics, physics, and chemistry, with at least 55% in each of these three subjects.
A candidate must have appeared for the Class 12 (or equivalent) examination for the first time in 2023, 2024, or 2025, with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
Candidates who appeared for the Class 12 (or equivalent) examination for the first time in 2022 or earlier are not eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2025, regardless of the subjects attempted or offered.
However, if the respective board for Class 12 (or equivalent) declared results for the 2021-22 academic year on or after September 21, 2022, then candidates from that board are also eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2025, provided they fulfil all other eligibility criteria.
BITSAT 2025 will be conducted for admission to the following engineering programmes at BITS Pilani:
Candidates must have been born on or after October 1, 2000. However, SC, ST, and PwD candidates are granted a relaxation of five years, meaning they should have been born on or after October 1, 1995. Candidates can attempt JEE Advanced 2025 a maximum of three times, in three consecutive years.
In the event of a tie between candidates with identical total National Testing Agency (NTA) scores, the following criteria will be applied sequentially to resolve the tie:

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur will conduct JEE Advanced 2025. Students who qualify JEE Main 2025 will be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2025, which is held for admission to the IITs.
There is no age limit for candidates appearing in JEE Main 2025. Candidates who have passed their Class 12 or equivalent examination in 2023 or 2024, or are appearing in 2025, are eligible to take the JEE Main 2025 exam, irrespective of their age.
