NEW DELHI: Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025 registration for session 1 has been opened by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Eligible students can apply for the January session by visiting the official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in. As per the official schedule, the last date to apply for the entrance exam is November 22. JEE Main 2025 session 1 will be held from January 22 to 31, while session 2 is scheduled from April 1 to 8.

Alongside the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main, numerous national and state-level exams offer pathways to top engineering institutions in India. These include the Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) for Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), the SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Examination (SRMJEEE) for SRM Institute ocf Science and Technology, and the Manipal Entrance Test (MET) for Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE).
The Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani, conducts the Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test (BITSAT) for admission to undergraduate engineering courses at its campuses in Pilani, Goa, and Hyderabad. The BITSAT 2025 exam date is expected to be announced today.
The Vellore Institute of Technology has begun the registration process for the Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) 2025. The exam is scheduled to take place from April 21 to 27, with the registration deadline set for March 31. Candidates can access the registration link on the official website – viteee.vit.ac.in.
Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham will conduct the Amrita Entrance Examination – Engineering (AEEE) 2025 phase 1 on February 1 and 2. The AEEE registration deadline has been extended to January 20. Meanwhile, Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) has opened registration for the Manipal Entrance Test (MET) 2025, with forms available on manipal.edu. The MET application deadline is March 15, with exam dates yet to be announced.

The BITSAT 2025 exam will have a duration of 3 hours and will be conducted in online mode, consisting solely of multiple-choice questions.
The registration deadline for GUJCET 2025 is February 25. Eligible candidates can fill out the GUJCET 2025 application form through the official website, gujcet.gseb.org.
According to the age limit criteria, candidates born on or after July 1, 2004, and up to June 30, 2009, are eligible to take the entrance exam. Additionally, students must have passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination from a recognized board, achieving a minimum aggregate of 60% in mathematics, physics, and chemistry, with at least 55% in each of these three subjects.
A candidate must have appeared for the Class 12 (or equivalent) examination for the first time in 2023, 2024, or 2025, with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
Candidates who appeared for the Class 12 (or equivalent) examination for the first time in 2022 or earlier are not eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2025, regardless of the subjects attempted or offered.
However, if the respective board for Class 12 (or equivalent) declared results for the 2021-22 academic year on or after September 21, 2022, then candidates from that board are also eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2025, provided they fulfil all other eligibility criteria.
BITSAT 2025 will be conducted for admission to the following engineering programmes at BITS Pilani:
Candidates must have been born on or after October 1, 2000. However, SC, ST, and PwD candidates are granted a relaxation of five years, meaning they should have been born on or after October 1, 1995. Candidates can attempt JEE Advanced 2025 a maximum of three times, in three consecutive years.
In the event of a tie between candidates with identical total National Testing Agency (NTA) scores, the following criteria will be applied sequentially to resolve the tie:
Candidates must be among the top 2,50,000 successful candidates (across all categories) in JEE Main 2025 paper 1 for BE and BTech. The distribution of the top 2.5 lakh candidates across categories in JEE Main 2025 will be as follows:

To be eligible for VITEEE 2025, candidates must achieve a minimum aggregate of 60% in physics, chemistry, and mathematics or biology in their qualifying examination. However, candidates from the SC and ST categories, as well as those from Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, and the Northeastern states, are required to secure a minimum of 50%.
IIT Kanpur (IITK) has not announced the JEE Advanced 2025 exam dates yet. The institute will soon release the JEE Advanced 2025 information bulletin, which will include details on the exam date, registration process, application fee, exam pattern, syllabus, marking scheme, and more. The bulletin will be available on the official JEE Advanced 2025 website.
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur will conduct JEE Advanced 2025. Students who qualify JEE Main 2025 will be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2025, which is held for admission to the IITs.
There is no age limit for candidates appearing in JEE Main 2025. Candidates who have passed their Class 12 or equivalent examination in 2023 or 2024, or are appearing in 2025, are eligible to take the JEE Main 2025 exam, irrespective of their age.
Amrita University will conduct the Amrita Engineering Entrance Examination (AEEE) 2025 in two phases, scheduled for February and April. The registration deadline for AEEE Phase 1 is January 20, as per the announced schedule. The university offers admission to Bachelor of Technology (BTech) programmes based on marks obtained in either the Joint Entrance Examination - Main (JEE Main) or AEEE 2025.
