BTech Admissions 2025: JEE Main registration last date, direct link

BITS Pilani will announce the BITS Admission Test (BITSAT) 2025 exam date and registration date soon. The exam is held for admission to undergraduate engineering programmes offered by the institute. Candidates must have secured a minimum aggregate of 75% marks in physics, chemistry, and mathematics (PCM) in Class 12. Additionally, a minimum of 60% marks is required in the each subject. 

In an advisory regarding the Aadhaar Card authentification for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains 2025, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has asked candidates to close the pop-up window and enter the name exactly written on their Aadhaar ID. This comes after several aspirants complained of technical issues. NTA informed that the problem is arising due to a mismatch in the name of students on their Class 10 educational certificate and on the Aadhaar Card. 

Andhra Pradesh Engineering, Agriculture, and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test (AP EAPCET) 2025 exam date will be announced soon. APSCHE will announce the AP EAMCET 2025 notification including the exam date, registration details, application fee, and other information on cets.apsche.ap.gov.in. As a result of increase in engineering seats in colleges across Karnataka, BTech seats are going vacant despite counselling through the engineering entrance exams, Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) and COMEDK UGET. More than 30,000 BTech seats have been found unallotted in engineering colleges despite several rounds of counselling. Another reason for the vacancies, raised by students, is fee hike. Since AICTE lifted the ban on new engineering colleges and courses, the state saw a massive increase in seat intake. 

The National Testing Agency will conduct the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains 2025 session 1 in January 2025. JEE Main 2025 will be held from January 22 to January 31, 2025. The exam will determine the eligibility of aspirants for admission to undergraduate BTech and BArch programmes at the National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and others. 

For the first time, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras has admitted five students to its BTech programme through the sports quota. Introduced last year, the policy requires candidates to qualify the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2025 and to be having at least one medal in the last four years in a national or international competition.

The Common Entrance Test (CET) cell, Maharashtra will announce the MHT CET 2025 exam date soon on the official website, cetcell.mahacet.org. According to the exam pattern, the MHT CET will consist of three question papers having multiple-choice questions. Each paper will carry a total of 100 marks. In paper 1, candidates will be awarded two marks for each correct answer while in paper 2 and 3, the students will be given one mark per question.

The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) will conduct GUJCET 2025 on March 23. The GUJCET 2025 registrations will begin from January 25.

As per the official brochure, the JEE Mains 2025 result will be declared by February 12. 

AEEE 2025 exam will be held on February 1 and 2. Similar to previous year, the AEEE 2025 exam is expected to be held in 3 slots- from 9 am to 11: 30 am, 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm and 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. 

There is no age limit for candidates appearing in JEE Main 2025. Candidates who have passed their Class 12 or equivalent examination in 2023, 2024 or are appearing in 2025, regardless of their age, are eligible to take the JEE Main 2025 exam.

JEE Mains 2025 will be conducted in English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.

The VITEEE 2025 will consists of 125 questions divided into mathematics or biology (40 questions), physics (35 questions), chemistry (35 questions), aptitude (10 questions), and English (five questions). 

The total marks for JEE Main 2025 paper 1 is 300 marks. The JEE Main 2025 total marks for paper 2 is 400 marks

The Manipal Entrance Test (MET) 2025 registration deadline is March 15. 

As per the NTA revised pattern, there will be no optional questions in section B of the JEE Mains 2025 exam.

SRMJEEE 2025 exam is expected to be held in two phases (as per past trends). SRMJEEE 2025 phase 1 will likely be conducted in April and phase 2 in June 2025. 

AEEE 2025 registration has been extended till January 20. Candidates can fill out the AEEE 2025 registration form by visiting the official website, aeee.amrita.edu.

In MET 2025, candidates will get 4 marks for each correct answer. For multiple-choice questions (MCQs), 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect response, while no marks will be deducted for incorrect answers in numerical answer type (NAT) questions. 

The AEEE 2025 registration deadline for phase 1 exam is January 20.

The VITEEE 2025 exam will be conducted from April 21 to 27. The VITEEE 2025 mathematics syllabus covers the following topics:

• Matrices and Applications: Includes matrix algebra, determinants, inverse of matrices, rank, linear equations, and linear programming problems in two variables.
• Trigonometry and Complex Numbers: Covers trigonometric functions, heights and distances, complex numbers, Argand plane, De Moivre’s theorem, and roots of complex numbers.
• Analytical Geometry (2D): Focuses on straight lines, conic sections like parabola, ellipse, and hyperbola, including their properties, tangents, and normals.
• Vector Algebra: Involves scalar and vector products, properties, and applications of triple products.
• Analytical Geometry (3D): Covers spatial geometry, line and plane equations, and shortest distance between skew lines.
• Differential Calculus: Includes limits, continuity, differentiability, mean value theorems, and applications like tangents, normals, and maxima, minima.
• Integral Calculus: Focuses on definite integrals, properties, and applications, such as area and curve length.
• Differential Equations: Covers first-order equations and solutions including variables separable, homogeneous, and linear types.
• Probability and Distributions: Basics of probability, Bayes’ theorem, and distributions like binomial and Poisson.
• Discrete Mathematics: Includes sets, relations, sequences, binomial theorem, counting techniques, and basic logic.

SRM Institute of Science and Technology is yet to announce the SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Exam (SRMJEEE) 2025 exam date. The SRMJEEE 2025 exam date will be announced on the official website, srmist.edu.in.

JEE Main 2025 exam for session 1 will be conducted from January 22 to 31.

The Manipal Entrance Test (MET) 2025 registration has commenced. The MET 2025 registration link can be accessed at manipal.edu

Engineering exams conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) include:

To address name mismatches during Aadhaar authentication in the JEE Mains 2025 registration, the NTA has issued an advisory regarding the the application process. Candidates who see a pop-up message indicating a name discrepancy are required to close the message. A new window will then open, allowing them to proceed with Aadhaar authentication by entering their name exactly as it appears on their Aadhaar card. The system will capture both Aadhaar and educational certificate names.

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham has commenced the Amrita Entrance Examination Engineering (AEEE) 2025 registration process from October 22. Interested and eligible candidates can fill up the AEEE 2025 application form by visiting the official website, aeee.amrita.edu.

The MHT CET 2025 is scheduled for admissions to BTech programmes across engineering colleges in Maharashtra. Based on past trends, registration is likely to open in January.

According to the eligibility criteria, candidates seeking admission to NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs must achieve a minimum of 75% marks in Class 12 to qualify for admission.

Candidates who have qualified for Class 12 board exams in the years 2023, and 2024 or appearing in 2025 are eligible to apply for JEE Mains 2025. However, the candidate may be required to meet the JEE eligibility criteria of the institute to which they are taking admission.

IIT Kanpur (IITK) has not announced the JEE Advanced 2025 exam dates yet.

There is no age limit for candidates appearing in JEE Main 2025. Candidates who have passed their Class 12 or equivalent examination in 2023 or 2024, or are appearing in 2025, are eligible to take the JEE Main 2025 exam, irrespective of their age.

According to the age limit criteria, candidates born on or after July 1, 2004, and up to June 30, 2009, are eligible to take the entrance exam.

The BITSAT 2025 exam will have a duration of 3 hours and will be conducted in online mode, consisting solely of multiple-choice questions.

Students who meet the following eligibility criteria will be allowed to appear for the entrance exam:

• AEEE age limit: Candidates whose date of birth falls between July 1, 2004, and June 30, 2009, are eligible for BTech admission at Amrita University.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has maintained the 75% criterion for the Joint Entrance Examination - Main (JEE Main 2025). According to the eligibility criteria, candidates seeking admission to National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and centrally-funded technical institutes (CFTIs) must achieve a minimum of 75% marks in Class 12 to qualify for admission.

Nearly 30,000 BTech seats remain vacant in engineering colleges across Karnataka, despite several rounds of counselling for the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) and the Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka Under Graduate Entrance Test (COMEDK) 2024. These tests are held for admissions to engineering programmes in state colleges. The vacant seats are reportedly due to an increase in the number of seats available and a rise in fees. Additionally, the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) lifted its ban on establishing new engineering colleges last year.

The increase in engineering seats, especially in computer science and AI, has led to vacancies in core branches and mid-level colleges, with thousands of seats remaining unfilled even after multiple counselling rounds. Given below are the 10 states with the highest numbers of seats added.

As per the official NTA schedule, JEE Main 2025 exam for session 1 will be conducted from January 22 to 31.

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) conducts the WBJEE for admission to engineering and other programmes at colleges throughout the state. According to the age limit criteria, candidates born on or after July 1, 2004, and up to June 30, 2009, are eligible to take the entrance exam. Additionally, students must have passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination from a recognized board, achieving a minimum aggregate of 60% in mathematics, physics, and chemistry, with at least 55% in each of these three subjects.

A candidate must have appeared for the Class 12 (or equivalent) examination for the first time in 2023, 2024, or 2025, with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. 

Candidates who appeared for the Class 12 (or equivalent) examination for the first time in 2022 or earlier are not eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2025, regardless of the subjects attempted or offered. 

However, if the respective board for Class 12 (or equivalent) declared results for the 2021-22 academic year on or after September 21, 2022, then candidates from that board are also eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2025, provided they fulfil all other eligibility criteria.

Candidates must have been born on or after October 1, 2000. However, SC, ST, and PwD candidates are granted a relaxation of five years, meaning they should have been born on or after October 1, 1995. Candidates can attempt JEE Advanced 2025 a maximum of three times, in three consecutive years.

In the event of a tie between candidates with identical total National Testing Agency (NTA) scores, the following criteria will be applied sequentially to resolve the tie:

• Higher NTA score in Mathematics
• Higher NTA score in Physics
• Higher NTA score in Chemistry
• Lower ratio of incorrect answers to correct answers across all subjects in the test
• Lower ratio of incorrect answers to correct answers in Mathematics
• Lower ratio of incorrect answers to correct answers in Physics
• Lower ratio of incorrect answers to correct answers in Chemistry

Candidates must be among the top 2,50,000 successful candidates (across all categories) in JEE Main 2025 paper 1 for BE and BTech. The distribution of the top 2.5 lakh candidates across categories in JEE Main 2025 will be as follows:

To be eligible for VITEEE 2025, candidates must achieve a minimum aggregate of 60% in physics, chemistry, and mathematics or biology in their qualifying examination. However, candidates from the SC and ST categories, as well as those from Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, and the Northeastern states, are required to secure a minimum of 50%.

IIT Kanpur (IITK) has not announced the JEE Advanced 2025 exam dates yet. The institute will soon release the JEE Advanced 2025 information bulletin, which will include details on the exam date, registration process, application fee, exam pattern, syllabus, marking scheme, and more. The bulletin will be available on the official JEE Advanced 2025 website.

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur will conduct JEE Advanced 2025. Students who qualify JEE Main 2025 will be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2025, which is held for admission to the IITs.

There is no age limit for candidates appearing in JEE Main 2025. Candidates who have passed their Class 12 or equivalent examination in 2023 or 2024, or are appearing in 2025, are eligible to take the JEE Main 2025 exam, irrespective of their age.

Amrita University will conduct the Amrita Engineering Entrance Examination (AEEE) 2025 in two phases, scheduled for February and April. The registration deadline for AEEE Phase 1 is January 20, as per the announced schedule.
