CAT 2018 Answer Key released by IIM Calcutta on December 7: Know how to download and file objections here

NEW DELHI, December 7: IIM Calcutta has released the CAT 2018 answer key on December 7, 2018. Candidates who had appeared for CAT 2018 on November 25, 2018, can download their CAT 2018 question paper and answer keys by logging in to the official website with their registration credentials. In the CAT 2018 answer key, the correct answers are marked in green. This will allow candidates to tally their own own responses from the CAT response sheet against the actual answers as given in the CAT answer key. The CAT response sheet was released on November 30 on the official site of CAT. Additionally, IIMs will also allow the test takers to file objections if they find any discrepancy in the answer key.

Candidates can file objections against questions by paying application fee of Rs. 1200. Last year, the objection file fee was Rs. 1000.

How to download CAT 2018 Answer Keys

• Candidates have to visit the official website of C AT, i.e. iimcat.ac.in
• Click on the Login button
• Enter the CAT Application ID and Password
• Click on the Question Paper tab
• Download the PDF

Candidates have to tally the official answer keys and with their responses in order to gauge the estimated score. Each question carried three marks and there was negative marking of one mark for each wrong answer except the non-MCQs.

Steps to file objections for CAT 2018 Answer Key

Candidates will need to enter the following details for raising an objection to any particular question or answer key on the objection filing page:

1. Assessment Shift (Shift1 or Shift 2)

2. Section Name

3. Question ID

4. Nature of Objection

5. Remarks

6. Upload supporting documents

The CAT 2018 exam witnesses as many as 2,09,405 test takers this year while the total number of registered candidates was 2.41 lakh. As per the CAT 2018 Analysis, the overall difficulty level of the exam was moderately tough. The Quantitative Ability section was considered to be the toughest, followed by DILR. The VARC section was easy to moderate.
