NEW DELHI: IIM Indore has successfully conducted the CAT 2020 slot 1, slot 2, and slot 3 in computer based mode. According to the students who appeared in the CAT exam 2020, the overall difficulty level of the exam was moderate to difficult. The CAT exam pattern had many changes such as reduction in the total number of questions. Candidates had to answer 76 questions in all the three slots of the CAT exam and the paper was moderately difficult.

The CAT 2020 exam period has been reduced from three hours to two hours as compared to the previous year.
A total of 40 minutes were allocated to each section, which was 60 minutes in CAT 2019.
CAT 2020 is being held in three sessions this year instead of two.
In CAT 2020, the number of questions was reduced to 76 from 100 in the previous year.
MCQs have a negative mark for every wrong answer, while non-MCQs do not incur any penalty for a negative mark on the CAT exam 2020.
CAT 2020 Slot 1:
According to Mohit Dhyani, who first presented CAT 2020, the Quantitative Aptitude section is easy even if it is a bit long. The VARC section is difficult to attempt within the 40 minute time limit. The DILR consisted of two sets of six questions each and three sets of 4 questions each.
CAT 2020 Slot 2:
According to Zibran, the overall CAT 2020 exam is easier compared to the previous year. The VARC Section is relatively easy to read and understands two comprehension passages and there are no synonyms or antonyms questions.The DILR was very difficult to solve. The Quantitative Aptitude section was moderate. There were 8 TITA questions in the QA section.
CAT 2020 Slot 3:
According to Amir, The overall paper was the same as the previous year. The VARC division alone was very difficult, and the quant was the same as the previous year.
According to Sahil, It was my first attempt. The DILR was a bit difficult. Quantitative Aptitude is a bit easier.
According to Careers360 CAT exam analysis, the overall difficulty level of the paper is moderate to difficult. Candidates were not taken aback by the changed exam pattern and most of them found the questions in different sections as easy to understand.
