CAT 2021: IIM Ahmedabad officially releases notification at iimcat.ac.in; Exam to be held on November 28

NEW DELHI - The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad, has officially released the CAT notification 2021 today, July 31. Along with it, the official CAT 2021 website has also been released - iimcat.ac.in. An unofficial CAT advertisement lookalike was doing rounds on the internet since morning today leading to all kinds of speculations, however, now the CAT 2021 notification has been officially released over the internet ending all the rumors and speculations.

As per this official CAT 2021 notification, CAT exam date 2021 is November 28. The CAT 2021 application form will be released on August 4 in online mode on the official IIM CAT website. Candidates with a Bachelor's degree in any discipline with 50% percent aggregate marks are eligible to apply for the CAT exam 2021.

The official CAT notification briefly mentions the CAT eligibility criteria, exam date, start and end dates of CAT registration, etc. The total number of test cities is also mentioned in the CAT 2021 notification where the exam will be held. Apart from that CAT registration fee for candidates belonging to different categories is also mentioned. The official CAT notification also contains the URL of the CAT 2021 official website.

• CAT 2021 application fee increased: IIM Ahmedabad has increased the CAT registration fee from Rs 2000 to Rs 2200 for the unreserved category and from Rs 1000 to Rs 1100 for the reserved category

• CAT test cities increased: Last year's CAT exam was held in 156 cities and this year, CAT 2021 the exam will be held in 158 cities.

What after CAT Notification 2021

IIM Ahmedabad will begin the online registration process for CAT 2021 from August 4. Candidates will be able to fill the CAT 2021 application form of CAT 2021 till September 15. Those candidates who are willing to appear for CAT 2021 will first have to create login details and then fill the CAT application form. At the time of CAT online form filling, one will have to pay the application fee by using a credit/ debit card of net banking.

About CAT 2021

Every year, more than 2 lakh candidates appear for the Common Admission Test (CAT). Appearing for the CAT exam is the first stage of the selection process. After the declaration of the CAT result, those candidates who meet the requisite cutoff for the IIMs to which they have applied are called for a further selection round which comprises Group Discussion (GD), Written Ability Test (WAT), and Personal Interview (PI). The final admission offer is made to those candidates who cleared all three stages of the selection process.
