The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad, will release the CAT 2021 notification this week, July, on the official CAT website - iimcat.ac.in. Eligibility criteria, start and end date of CAT registration, paper pattern, selection process, etc. will be briefly mentioned in the official CAT notification 2021. The CAT registration window is expected to open in the first week of August 2021, following the release of the CAT notification.

Last year in 2020, the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Indore released the official CAT notification on July 29. Common Admission Test (CAT 2021) is expected to be held on the last Sunday of November 2021 i.e. November 28. CAT is a computer-based test conducted at the national level throughout the country for PGDM/ MBA admission to IIMs and other top MBA institutes.

Other important details mentioned in the CAT notification include the total number of cities where the exam will be held and the CAT 2021 registration fee for candidates belonging to various categories. The CAT 2021 notification will also specify the URL of the CAT official website.
Changes introduced in the CAT exam last year

The CAT application fee was increased from Rs 1,900 to Rs 2,000 for the general category and from Rs 950 to Rs 1,000 for SC/ ST category.

The number of test slots was increased by three compared to previous years when the CAT was held in two slots.

The duration of the CAT examination was reduced from 180 minutes to 120 minutes, where the section-time limit for candidates was 40 minutes.
CAT 2021 Notification to mention eligibility criteria
The CAT exam eligibility points mentioned below are as per the previous year's notification.

Candidates who have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% of aggregated marks (45% for SC/ ST/ PwD) are eligible to apply for CAT 2021.

There is no age restriction to apply.

Work experience is not mandatory to register for the CAT exam.
