- The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad, has added Srinagar as a CAT exam centre this year for the MBA aspirants of Jammu and Kashmir. A marquee running on the official website, iimcat.ac.in CAT 2021 says that “Candidates can now choose Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir) as a preferred city for CAT21”. The candidates of Srinagar city can fill their city preference as ‘Srinagar’ while filling the CAT application form 2021. Candidates who have submitted their CAT exam registration form can edit CAT exam centre preference after the opening of CAT correction window.

Yesterday, the last date to register for CAT 2021 was also extended till September 22. Now, the management aspirants have another week for CAT registration 2021. On extension of the CAT application date, Convener MP Ram Mohan releases a statement, “In response to many requests and on account of continued prevalence of COVID-19, the CAT Committee of the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) have decided to extend the CAT 2021 registration deadline to September 22, 2021. Candidates are advised to check the CAT website for more information”.
Last year, the CAT entrance exam was conducted in 156 cities. However, this year, as per the released CAT notification, CAT 2021 will be held across 158 cities. But as per the recent addition of ‘Srinagar’ as one of the CAT 2021 exam centres, the count is now 159. The Common Admission Test (CAT) 2021 is scheduled to be held on November 28.

About CAT 2021
The Common Admission Test (CAT) is a computer-based MBA entrance test conducted by IIMs on a rotational basis. IIM Ahmedabad is the conducting body of CAT 2021. Candidates who want to take admission into management programs will have to take the CAT entrance test first. Apart from IIMs there are more than 1000 B-schools which accept CAT score card to offer admission into MBA/ PGDM programs.
