NEW DELHI: Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad has opened the CAT registration window yesterday, August 4, 2021, at iimcat.ac.in. The CAT 2021 registration last date is September 15, 2021, at 5 pm. CAT application fee 2021 for General and unreserved category is Rs 2200 and Rs 1100 for SC/ST/OBC and other reserved categories. To fill the CAT exam form 2021 without any mistakes, candidates need to keep in mind some important points. One must be careful when completing the CAT registration because some of the details cannot be edited or changed after submission of the CAT form.
Common Admission Test (CAT 2021) is going to be held on November 28, 2021, in computer-based mode. Before filling out the CAT registration form 2021, applicants are advised to verify the CAT eligibility criteria of the programs they require. To avoid the last-minute hassle, they should have the required documents on hand before filling up the CAT 2021 registration form.

It is not necessary to fill the entire application form at once. However, applicants must ensure that the form and fee are submitted before the deadline. This year, CAT registration closes on September 15, 2021 at 5 pm.
While filling the CAT 2021 application form, students must ensure that all information provided by them is correct. Once the information is saved in the CAT 2021 registration form, most of it cannot be changed, so the candidates should be careful while completing the form for the CAT exam 2021.
During CAT registration 2021, students must ensure that they provide the correct mobile number and email address, failing to do so will lead to non-communication of important information regarding the IIM CAT exam.
IIM usually provides a form correction window. However, to be on the safe side, before entering the submit button, students should fully verify all the non-editable details and their spelling like name, email id, phone number.
At the time of filling the CAT application form 2021, students must select the CAT exam cities according to their preference and ensure that they should be in close proximity to their home.
In wake of the second wave of the prevailing COVID 19 pandemic, it is advisable that the candidates choose a test centre where it will not be difficult to travel. CAT 2021 will be conducted at 158 cities across India and the candidates have the option to fill 6 choices of test cities in the CAT exam form 2021.
Photograph: The photo you upload in the CAT registration form should not be more than 12 to 18 months old. A white background is mandatory. It should not be blurred or shaky. When uploading a photo in the CAT application form 2021, make sure you follow the file format and size specified in the instructions.
Signature: The signature should be done on a blank white paper. Scan the signature using a scanner, do not use smartphones. When you upload the signature in the CAT exam application 2021, be careful about the format and size specified in the guidelines.

In the CAT application form, under the educational qualification category, the students have to give the total percentage column. The percentage should be entered as aaa.aa. Candidates must enter the percentage as given below, even if it is 3 aaa before the point:
Enter as 99.26% and not as 099.26
In the CAT 2021 application form, candidates should also select the IIM program. IIMs offer various courses like PGP-SM, PGP-FABM, PGP, ePGP, PGP-ABM, etc. However, not all IIMs offer all courses. So, instead of applying roughly to IIMs, make sure you choose the right courses.
Once all the information is filled in the CAT 2021 application form, students can pay the required fee depending on the category they belong to. At the time of payment, applicants should check that their internet connection is good and the payment is made and they receive a confirmation mail.
Sometimes, while applying for CAT 2021, the fee is deducted from the bank but the receipt is not generated. When that happens, do not pay twice. In this case, wait for some time that amount will be credited. However, if it is not credited, contact the bank.
Candidates who successfully completed their Graduation/ Bachelor’s Degree in any stream with 50% of aggregated marks (45% for SC/ ST/ PwD) from a recognized University/ Institute are eligible to apply for the CAT entrance exam 2021.
Final year students are also eligible to apply for CAT 2021.
There is no age limit to fill the CAT application form.
CAT 2021 registration is a 30-minute process and you need to collect all the required documents/ items before starting the CAT registration and application process.
Step 1: Visit the official CAT 2021 website - iimcat.ac.in.
Step 2: Next, find and click the “New Candidate Registration” link at the right middle of the page.
Step 3: Then, enter the essential details to create the login credentials.
Step 4: After entering, click on the “Generate OTP” link. The One Time Password will be sent to the registered email ID.
Step 5: Using the login credentials, log in to the candidate's dashboard and fill the CAT application form 2021 with essential details like:

Personal details
Communication details
Emergency contact details
Step 6: Upload all the required valid documents/ images in a prescribed format and size.
Step 7: Then, select the work experience details (if any), and choose any six nearby CAT test cities.
Step 8: Finally, make a payment of the CAT application fee in online mode using any payment method.

Common Admission Test (CAT) is a national-level management entrance exam to get into two-years MBA programs at 20 IIMs in India.
