CAT 2023 exam for 3.3 lakh candidates today; exam guidelines, things to carry

Use NowNEW DELHI: Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow will be conducting Common Admission Test (CAT) 2023 today, on November 26, 2023. The examination will be held in 3 slots in 155 test cities across the country. Around 3.3 lakh candidates have registered for the MBA entrance exam.

Candidates will have to carry the CAT admit card 2023 to the exam hall. CAT 2023 slot 1 will be held from 8.30 am to 10:30 am, CAT 2023 slot 2 from 12.30 pm to 2.30 pm and CAT exam 2023 slot 3 from 4.30 pm to 6.30 pm.
As per the schedule announced, the CAT 2023 results will be announced tentatively in the second week of January 2024.
CAT 2023: Exam guidelines
Those appearing in the CAT exam will have to follow the guidelines given below.

Candidates are not permitted to wear shoes and footwear with thick soles or wear sandals or slippers on the exam day.

Candidates are not allowed to carry any electronic gadgets such as mobile phones, ear phones, calculators, smart watches, etc.

Students with metal implants or pacemakers are required to carry relevant medical certificates for evidence.

Candidates are not allowed to carry any stationary box or pouch to the exam hall.

Candidates are not allowed to wear any jewellery.

Candidates should not put mehndi or henna as it will create issues during the biometric process.

Candidates should bring all the essential items such as CAT 2023 admit card and valid photo ID.

Candidates should reach the exam center an hour before the commencement of the exam.

After undergoing the security check and document verification, candidates should report to the allotted lab number and sit in the respective seat.

Candidates should do all the rough work on the writing pad given by the invigilator.

Candidates should obey the instructions given by the invigilator.

After the completion of CAT 2023 exam, candidates are required to submit the writing pad and admit card to the invigilator.

Candidates will be allowed to carry the following items to the CAT 2023 exam center.

Valid photo ID card

Medical certificate, if applicable.

A transparent ballpoint pen

Additional photograph

Personal hand sanitiser

Personal transparent water bottle.
