CAT 2023: IIM Lucknow to conduct exam; professor Sanjeet Singh appointed convenor

Use NowNEW DELHI : Sanjeet Singh, a professor at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow has been appointed as the exam convenor of the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2023, the institute confirmed with Careers360 . IIM Lucknow will be conducting this year’s CAT exam for admission to MBA programmes by the IIMs and other participating institutes.
Singh is a professor in the decision sciences department of the institute. Before joining IIM Lucknow, he served as a professor in the operations management department in IIM Calcutta. The professor holds an experience of 13 years at IIM Calcutta and served several academic positions. Singh was also a lecturer in the University of Delhi.

Professor Singh also worked as a scientist in the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). Besides, he was a visiting professor at the University of Waterloo, Canada, in the year 2012.
The IIM professor got his BSc (honours) degree in Mathematics, and did MSc and PhD in operational research from DU. He was a gold medalist in both BSc and MSc. Moreover, Singh also qualified for the University Grants Commission - Joint Research Fellowship (UGC-JRF) in mathematical sciences.
CAT 2023 notification will be released soon on the official website – iimcat.ac.in. The exam notification will include details on exam dates, syllabus, eligibility criteria, registration fee, examination centres, and more. The registration is likely to begin from August 2 and the exam is tentatively scheduled for November 26. The MBA entrance exam will be conducted in three shifts in online mode.
