IIM Mumbai announces MBA admission criteria 2025; gives 60% weightage to CAT score

NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIM Calcutta) conducted the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2024 on November 24, for admissions to its Postgraduate Programs (PGP) for the academic session 2025-26. The IIM Mumbai has announced the MBA admission criteria 2025. IIM Mumbai admission criteria 2025 has been revised, increasing the weightage of CAT scores to 60%, compared to 55% in 2023.

As per IIM Mumbai admission policy 2025, final selection will be based on CAT 2024 score, Personal Interview (PI), academic record, work experience. In the previous year, gender diversity was also considered as a factor in calculating the composite score for IIM Mumbai admissions.
IIM Mumbai Admission Policy 2025: Eligibility criteria
Candidates can have a look at the eligibility criteria for IIM Mumbai admission 2025 below.
- Candidates are required to have completed their graduation degree with a minimum of 50% marks in total aggregate or its equivalent CGPA (5% relaxation for candidates belonging to reserved category).
- Candidates are required to have done their graduation from any university. If no CGPA-to-marks conversion scheme is shared by the college, IIM Mumbai will calculate equivalence by dividing the CGPA by the maximum CGPA and multiplying by 100.
- Final-year students provisionally admitted are required to submit their final year mark sheet and degree certificate by June 30, 2025.

IIM Mumbai Admission 2025 Stage 2: Personal Interview
Candidates meeting the stage I criteria will be shortlisted for a Personal Interview (PI) based on their CAT-2024 scores and sectional cut-offs, taking their reservation category into account.
IIM Mumbai Selection Process 2025: Parameters and weightage
The IIM Mumbai’s final selection process 2025 will consider an applicant's 'Academic Performance and Work Experience Score (APWE) alongside their CAT score and interview performance. The APWE score will be calculated based on the percentage of marks obtained in the Class 10,12th (specific to the stream, such as science, commerce, or humanities), the bachelor's degree programme (based on discipline), and relevant work experience as of December 31, 2024.
