NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Calcutta, is expected to release the CAT 2024 notification on July 30 or 31, on the official CAT website, iimcat.ac.in. Eligibility criteria, start and end dates of CAT exam registration 2024, fee, paper pattern, CAT exam subjects, etc. will be briefly mentioned in the official CAT notification 2024. Following the notification of CAT 2024, the registration window is expected to open in the first week of August 2024.
Last year, in 2023, the IIM Lucknow released the official CAT notification on July 30. The Common Admission Test (CAT 2024) is expected to be held on the last Sunday of November 2024, i.e., November 24. CAT is a national-level computer-based test conducted throughout the country for PGDM/ MBA admission to IIMs and other top Bschools.

Other important details mentioned in the CAT notification include the total number of cities where the exam will be held and the CAT exam fee for candidates belonging to various categories. The CAT 2024 notification will also specify the URL of the official CAT website.
Changes expected in the CAT exam 2024

The CAT registration fees are expected to be increased from Rs 2,400 to Rs 2,500 for the general category and from Rs 1,200 to Rs 1,250 for SC/ ST category.
CAT 2024 notification to mention eligibility criteria
The CAT exam eligibility points mentioned below are as per the previous year's notification.

Aspirants who have passed a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ ST/ PwD) are eligible to apply for CAT 2024.

There is no age restriction.

Work experience is not mandatory to fill out the CAT application form 2024.
