The Common Admission Test (CAT 2025) recorded an attendance of about 86% this year. According to the institute, around 2.58 lakh candidates appeared for the exam out of 2.95 lakh registered eligible candidates. The test was conducted at 339 centres across 170 cities in India.

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kozhikode conducted the CAT 2025 exam in three slots. Slot 1 was held from 8:30 am to 10:30 am, Slot 2 from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm, and Slot 3 from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm.

The exam consisted of three sections: data interpretation and logical reasoning (DILR), verbal ability and reading comprehension (VARC), and quantitative Ability (QA), with a total of 68 questions. The exam pattern remained unchanged.

CAT Exam 2025: Test centres drop to 339

“The duration of the CAT 2025 exam was 120 minutes, while 160 minutes were given to PwD candidates. Each section was allotted 40 minutes, while 53 minutes and 20 seconds for PwD candidates”, according to the official media release.

Last year, a total of 2.93 lakh candidates appeared for the exam, with an overall attendance of 89%. The test was conducted at 389 examination centres across 170 cities in India.

This year, CAT 2025 saw a slight drop in attendance to approximately 86%, with around 2.58 lakh candidates taking the test out of 2.95 lakh registered candidates.

Additionally, the number of CAT test centres decreased from 389 to 339, while the number of cities remained the same at 170.

IIM Kozhikode will soon release the CAT 2025 answer key on the official website iimcat.ac.in. As per the schedule, the CAT exam results will be declared in the first week of January.
