NEW DELHI: Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, will be conducting CAT 2022 exam on November 27. CAT registration 2022 process has started online at iimcat.ac.in. The last date to submit the CAT 2022 application form is September 14, 2022. Candidates interested in taking the CAT 2022 are advised to check and apply for the CAT entrance exam only if they meet the eligibility criteria as set by the CAT exam conducting IIM.

CAT 2022: Eligibility criteria
A few changes have been made in the CAT eligibility criteria. Promotion/pass option has been put off for CAT 2022. Get the detailed eligibility criteria below.

Candidates applying for CAT exam 2022 must have a bachelor degree or its equivalents with 50% marks ( 45% for SC/ST/PwD) from a recognized university

Candidates who have appeared for final year of bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification examination and are awaiting the result can also apply for CAT exam 2022

Candidates appearing for the final year of bachelor or equivalent qualification examination are also eligible to apply for CAT 2022

But such candidates, if selected, can join the program provisionally. But they have to provide a certificate issued from the principal/registrar of their institute or university on or before the date as set by the respective IIMs.

Candidates who have done professional courses such as ICWA, CA, CS, Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of India (FIAI)) with required percentage can also apply for CAT 2022

The percentage of marks obtained by candidates in the qualifying examination would be calculated based on the practices followed by the respective university or institution

Candidates filling the CAT registration 2022 form must have a valid email ID and phone number that they can retain through the admission process

How to apply for CAT 2022
Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can submit their CAT application form 2022, following the steps given below.
Step 1: Visit the official website of CAT 2022 - iimcat.ac.in.
Step 2: Click on the 'New Candidate Registration' button in the right middle of the homepage
Step 3: It will redirect you to the CAT form page
Step 4: Fill out the CAT registration form 2022, entering all required details
Step 5: Login with your CAT ID and password to fill application form, upload documents, photo, signature
Step 6: Make the payment for CAT exam fees, using any payment gateway
Step 7: Review and submit your CAT 2022 application form
As per the CAT 2022 exam pattern, the paper in the test will have three sections. They include Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR), Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension (VARC) and Quantitative Ability (QA). The duration of the exam will be 120 minutes and each section will have 40 minutes of time. There is negative marking, which means one mark will be deducted for every wrong answer. CAT 2022 will be conducted in 150 cities while the last year, it was held in 158 cities.
