Board Exams 2027: CBSE 10th, 12th sample papers, marking scheme out at cbseacademic.nic.in, direct link

Ahead of releasing the Class 10 and 12 board exams 2026 time-table, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the sample papers. Registered students who will be appearing in the board exams scheduled next year can check and download the same from CBSE's official website, cbseacademic.nic.in by following the below-mentioned steps. Students should know that there has been no change in the question paper design and assessment pattern for the academic session 2026-27. The passing criteria will remain the same as those applicable during the academic session 2025-26. To pass the exams, candidates will have to secure minimum 33 percent marks.

The official notice released by the board reads, "The Board issues Sample Question Papers (SQPs) and Marking Schemes (MS) for classes X and XII to provide a broad template and serve as a guide for ensuring uniformity and proper coverage of the curricula. Further, SQPs give a broad understanding of the question paper design and need to be used for classroom teaching and learning activities with an overall focus on promoting the application of concepts in real-life."

How to download Class 10 sample papers

For downloading sample papers for one or more subjects, students can follow these steps.

• Go to the official website cbse.gov.in and click on academic website tab
• Then click on academic section
• Click on link that reads, "Sample Question Papers for Classes X & XII for the current Academic Session 2026- 27 – reg."
• Notice will open up on screen
• Click on "Class X – https://cbseacademic.nic.in/SQP_CLASSX_2026-27.html"
• PDF will open up on screen
• Select the subject for which you want to download the papers
• Repeat the process for different or more subjects

Download the PDF, and save it for future references

The sample question paper for Classes X and XII for the academic session 2026-27 are now available.

• Directly go to CBSE's academic website cbseacademic.nic.in
• On homepage, click on the link that reads, "Sample Question Papers for Classes X & XII for the current Academic Session 2026- 27 – reg."
• Then click on Class 12 sample paper link
• You will see three tabs, subject, sample question paper and marking scheme
• Select the subject and click on the same
• Sample question paper will open up on screen
• Go through the same and download it
