CBSE introduces phone based IVRS facility for Class 12 results; students can access marks without internet connection

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared Class 12 board examination results 2026 today for students from all the streams, including Science, Commerce and Arts. Candidates who appeared for the senior secondary exams can now view and download their provisional marksheets through the official portals, including cbse.gov.in and results.cbse.nic.in. Besides the official websites, students have also been provided access to their CBSE Class 12 results through DigiLocker, the UMANG application and SMS based services. This year CBSE has also introduced an Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS) for the 2026 Class 12 results.
IVRS is a telephony result service through which students can access their board exam scores by calling a designated number without using the internet.

More than 18.5 lakh students appeared for the CBSE Class 12 examinations this year, which were held for 120 subjects between February 17 and April 10 at 7,574 centres across India and overseas locations. Of the total candidates, over 10.27 lakh were male students while nearly 8.32 lakh were female candidates.
For the 2026 evaluation cycle, CBSE used its digital On-Screen Marking (OSM) process under which examiners assessed scanned answer sheets electronically instead of relying on traditional paper based checking methods.

CBSE Class 12th students can follow the steps below to check their results via IVRS;
Call charges for accessing results through the IVRS facility are generally around 30 paise per minute per roll number.
