The CBSE Class 12 board examinations 2026 will conclude on April 9, 2026, covering all subjects across Science, Commerce, and Humanities streams.

CBSE has issued strict guidelines regarding unfair means during exams. If a student is caught cheating in any subject:

• The result for that subject will be cancelled
• No substitution with a sixth or seventh subject will be allowed
• The candidate will be placed in the compartment category and must reappear for that subject

Starting with the 2026-27 academic session, all students must have an APAAR (Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry) ID to fill out CBSE exam registration forms. This decision comes after the board reported that by 2025-26, less than 50% of students in affiliated schools had obtained APAAR IDs.

Private candidates appearing for CBSE exams can download their admit card online by following these steps:

• Submit to view your admit card
• Download and print a copy for exam use

CBSE has introduced On-Screen Marking (OSM) for Class 12 board exams, replacing the traditional physical evaluation with digital assessment of scanned answer sheets to enhance speed, accuracy, and security. Teachers will mark responses digitally at schools, with marks being calculated automatically. However, Class 10 exams will continue to be evaluated using the physical method.

The CBSE Class 12 board exams for 2026 started on February 17 and will end on April 10. Over 16 lakh students are expected to take the exams across 114 subjects.
