CBSE invites LOC submission for Class 12 re-exams 2026 in West Asian countries

In compliance with a Supreme Court order, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct re-exams for Class 12 students in West Asia after concerns were raised over results prepared under the new assessment scheme for 40 subjects. CBSE has invited submissions of List of Candidates (LOC), including regular and private ones, from September 22 onwards.

The last date for LOC submission is September 26. CBSE will announce exam dates after the form submission process is completed.

The CBSE Class 12 board exams for the 40 subjects, including 20 academic and 20 skill subjects, were not conducted due to the prevailing war situation in the West Asian countries, including UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Iran.

However, students were not satisfied with their results after the implementation of the new assessment scheme based on marks secured in internals and practical exams.

According to the CBSE notice, no additional exam fees will be charged. Candidates who did not appear for the main exams for any reason will not be eligible to participate in special exams. Also, no subject changes will be allowed, and CBSE will not conduct exams for subjects whose exam was already held.

The result for this exam will be final and will replace the earlier performance of the candidates.
