The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducted the CBSE Class 12 Chemistry board exam for the academic year 2026-27 today from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm. The 12th Chemistry paper was moderate to easy in difficulty, and students find numerical problems manageable, with clear guidelines and familiar patterns. CBSE Board Exam 2026 LIVE.
According to subject expert Shalini Gupta from Lancers Army Schools, the CBSE Class 12 Chemistry board exam 2026 covered queries on organic chemistry, electrochemistry, and chemical kinetics. The paper had proper distribution of marks across all major areas, she added.

“The numerical problems were manageable, with clear guidelines and familiar patterns. Theoretical questions required some analytical thinking, but nothing was out of syllabus. The questions on chemical bonding, coordination compounds, and p-block elements were straightforward, allowing students to demonstrate their clarity of concepts,” Gupta said.
Moreover, another subject expert Vikas Baboo, PGT Chemistry, Seth MR Jaipuria School, Bansal campus, Sitapur Road, Lucknow, said that the questions in the CBSE Class 12 Chemistry board exam 2026 was largely based on Previous Year Questions (PYQs).
“Those who had thoroughly practiced PYQs found the paper straightforward and scoring. Overall, students with consistent preparation and strong conceptual clarity are expected to secure good marks in this examination,” Baboo said.
Overall, the Chemistry paper was well-balanced, fair, and scoring, as per students’ reactions.
The board will now conduct the CBSE Class 12 board exam 2026 for Mathematics, Applied Mathematics subject on March 9.
