NEW DELHI: Central Board of Secondary Education conducted the CTET exam 2023 today, in paper-based mode (offline mode). CTET 2023 exam has been conducted for 3,121 test centres in 136 CTET exam cities all over India in two shifts for paper 1 and paper 2. CTET 2023 shift 1 paper 1 timings were from 9.30 AM to 12 noon and shift 2 for paper 2 from 2.00 to 4.30 PM. As per the board, a total of 29,03,903 candidates took the CTET exam 2023 today out of which 15,01,719 candidates appeared for paper 1 and 14,02,184 candidates appeared for paper 2.

CBSE is conducting the CTET exam 2023 today in offline mode. CTET 2023 shift 1 for paper 1 is conducted from 9.30 AM to 12 noon and shift 2 for paper 2 was conducted from 2.00 to 4.30 PM. Check the CTET 2023 exam analysis and pre and post-exam students’ reactions.
CBSE will provide the CTET 2023 digital mark sheets and eligibility certificates through ‘DigiLocker’ to the candidates. According to the board, the DigiLocker accounts of all the candidates will be created and the account credentials and details will be sent to the candidates on their registered mobile numbers. Candidates will be able to download their digital mark sheet and eligibility certificate using these credentials. The mark sheets and certificates will have an encrypted QR code which can be scanned and verified using the DigiLocker mobile app.
According to CBSE the CTET 2023 result will be announced tentatively in September. The CTET result 2023 will be declared on the CTET official website, ctet.nic.in.

There is no negative marking in CTET 2023. Candidates are awarded one mark for every correct answer in the exam and there is no deduction for wrong answers or unattempted questions. CTET exam 2023 is of 150 marks each for both paper 1 and paper 2.

The minimum requirement for aspirants to apply for CTET exam is passed with class 12th, diploma or graduate with a minimum of 50% marks. Applicants having a postgraduate degree with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade and a three-year integrated BEd-MEd can also apply for the CTET 2023. There is no negative marking in CTET 2023 which means that no mark will be deducted for giving a wrong answer in the exam. This allows candidates to attempt even those questions whose answers they are not sure about.
The qualifying marks for CTET 2023 are 60 percent of the total marks. The CTET exam is conducted for 150 marks, therefore, candidates need to score at least 90 marks in the exam in order to be eligibile.

The CTET 2023 paper 1 is for teaching positions in classes 1 to 5, and the CTET paper 2 will be for classes 6 to 8.

Candidates will have to report at the allotted examination centre by 9:30 AM for Shift 1 and before 2:00 PM for Shift 2. Those coming after will not be allowed to appear in the examination. The exam conducting authorities have brought the CTET self declaration form at the time of Covid 19 pandemic situation. The CTET self declaration form pdf was provided till the last session i.e. (CTET December 2022). Now, for this CTET July 2023 session, CBSE has not provided the CTET 2023 self declaration form download link on the official website.
Candidates appearing for Paper 1 will have to attempt 150 questions in five sections – child development and pedagogy, language 1, language 2, mathematics and environmental studies. Each question will carry one mark. There will be no negative marking.
Candidates appearing for Paper 2 will have to attempt 150 questions in four compulsory. Three compulsory sections are child development and pedagogy, language 1 and language 2. Candidates appearing for science and math teachers will have mathematics and science as fourth section while those appearing for posts of social studies will have to answer from the social sciences section. Each question will carry one mark. There will be no negative marking.

The exam authorities provided the CTET self declaration form 2023 pdf for December 2022 session along with CTET admit card. For this July 2023 session, CBSE has not provided the CTET nic in self declaration form 2023 along with the admit card.

Candidates must obtain marks equal to or higher than the minimum CTET qualifying marks set by the exam conducting authority in order to pass the eligibility examination. General category candidates who score 60 percent will be considered eligible, while reserved category candidates who score 55 percent will be considered qualified.
