NEW DELHI, DECEMBER 14, 2018 : The Central Board of Secondary Education is expected to announce the date sheet for class 10 and 12 in December. While the board has not made any announcement in this regard, this can be inferred from various media reports suggesting an early declaration of the exam schedules for class 10 and 12.
While the CBSE chairperson Anita Karwal had in an earlier interaction with the media hinted that the date sheet may be released around January second week, it is expected that the board will release it even earlier. The exams generally start by February end and continue till March.
Lakhs of students who will be appearing for the exams can check the CBSE 2019 date sheet for class 10 and 12 on the official website which is http://cbse.nic.in/newsite/index.html. Students can also download the CBSE class 10 date sheet and CBSE class 12 date sheet which will be available in the pdf format.
Some new changes introduced this year include the lowering of the qualifying cutoff marks to 33%. This effectively means that candidates just need to score 33% marks both in practical and theory exam to pass the exam instead of separately.
A total of 1162645 students had appeared for the class 12 exam in 2018 while about 1625967 students had written the class 10 exams across the country.
