NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has asked all schools affiliated with the board to verify the online applications of Single Girl Child Scholarship 2021. CBSE schools can approve the SGC scholarship applications from December 31 to January 25, 2022. Students can apply for the Single Girl Child Scholarship 2021 from today, December 27, to January 17, 2022.
As per the latest CBSE circular, “From this year, schools are requested to process the application of their students as per guidelines issued for this scheme. Schools are requested to go through the guidelines of Single Girl Child Scholarship X-2021 available on the CBSE website.” The board also advised CBSE schools to motivate students who fulfil the eligibility criteria to apply for the scholarship.

Students and schools affiliated with CBSE can check the eligibility criteria for the Single Girl Child Scholarship. The scheme was started by the CBSE in 2006.

CBSE has given step-by-step instructions to verify the online applications submitted by students to avail the scholarship. As per the CBSE guidelines, the schools can follow the below-given steps.
1. School can login through link provided at cbse.gov.in and click on the ‘Scholarship’ tab.
2. Enter school’s existing credential as used for various examination activities.
3. After login, a list of applications will be shown of the applicant’s belonging to the school.
4. Check the details of the applicant and select Approved or Rejected, as the case may be,
after proper verification of application against the scholarship eligibility guidelines.
5. Upon updating the status the same will be visible to applicant.
6. Once the details are verified and status updated, further changes cannot be made.
7. Student can also follow up with the school in case of application is being shown pending
