NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has concluded term-1 exams for major and minor subjects of Classes 10, 12 and the CBSE term-1 result is expected to be declared in January, however, there is no official notification from the board.

CBSE will release Class 10, 12 score cards that students will be able to download at the official websites- cbse.gov.in, cbseresults.nic.in. Apart from the board websites, the other official ways to check 10th, 12th results include the DigiLocker app and the website – digilocker.gov.in. Like last year, the result may also be given on the UMANG app and via SMS. Know how to check CBSE term 1 result 2022.

CBSE term-1 result 2022: Points to remember

  • CBSE class 10, 12 term-1 results will contain a minimum 50 percent weightage in the final result, and no student will be failed in term 1.
  • Term 1 marks will also include the internal assessment marks awarded to students by schools
  • The absentees will not be provided any average marks this time, however, the calculation of the final score card will be decided by the CBSE
  • The students will not get the mark sheets in term-1, the final mark sheets will be released after the term 2 examination
  • CBSE term 2 exam will be held in April and May depending on the situation of COVID-19 pandemic. The paper will be based on both MCQ and long form questions.
  • The board will release CBSE term-2 date sheets after the declaration of CBSE term 1 result. The board exam timetable will be released by the month of February.

Meanwhile, CBSE Schools Management Association (CSMA), a school teachers’ organisation in Tamil Nadu has requested the board to cancel the CBSE term 1 exams and not validate the marks. It has written to the board regarding the "loopholes and consequent malpractice and technical issues causing prejudice in CBSE Class 10, 12 terms 1 exam 2021".
