CBSE partners with UNICEF, Yuwaah to train youth on life, employability skills

NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education has partnered with UNICEF and Yuwaah to promote life and employability skills amongst the youth through Young Warrior NXT and Yuwaah Skills Initiative. CBSE aims to build employability and life skills in students through chatbot based learning tools in its schools across India.

CBSE has invited all teachers, students, and staff members to participate in the Young Warrior NXT program which aims to impart essential life and employability skills to young people between 14-24 years of age. UNICEF, Yuwaah and CBSE will also host a webinar tentatively in the third week of November 2021 to assist teachers on the functioning of the chatbot.

“A chatbot based learning solution, the young warrior NXT, is leveraging existing platforms of WhatsApp, Facebook, messenger, telegram, to reach young people. The learning activities hosted on these platforms are task based, gamified interactions that challenge learners to complete tasks while providing guiding and real world nudges,” said CBSE in a press statement.

The tasks are self-driven and all participants who complete minimum 10 tasks out of 20 will be provided with the certificate jointly by CBSE, UNICEF, and Yuwaah. CBSE’s partnership with Yuwaah skills initiative will connect young people to opportunity by upskilling them towards entrepreneurship, employment and social impact. The initiative will provide young people with free job relevant skills and aims to prepare 5 million young people with employability and life skills.

“CBSE’s partnership with UNICEF and Yuwaah will encourage growth mindset and prepare them for their career as well as their personal life. I invite all the students to get started and register on the YWNXT chatbot to develop life skills at their own pace from the comfort of their home,” said Biswajit Saha, director, training and skills education, CBSE.
