‘Accept education failure, paper leaks’: Sonam Wangchuk to govt ahead of CJP’s Parliament march today

The protest, which merely started as a social media campaign, has now gathered over a thousand protesters, as the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) is all set to begin its “Sansad Chalo” march from the Jantar Mantar protest site to the parliament building at 9 am today, demanding the resignation of the union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Meanwhile, Gitanjali Angmo, wife of Sonam Wangchuk , has announced that the climate activist will end his hunger strike if the government or the political leaders will meet him at hospital and assure him to raise the issue of “ education accountability ” during the parliament monsoon session.

On the other hand, according to the Delhi Police, no permission was taken for the march to parliament, scheduled by the CJP for Monday. The police have issued traffic advisory and beefed-up security, deploying security personnel with riot guns near the parliament road and other adjacent areas ahead of the CJP’s protest march.

Moreover, CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke has advised protesters against “fringe elements” during the protest march that could create disturbance in the peaceful protest.

Raise NEET paper leak issue in Parliament session: CJP to opposition

On July 18, Dipke slammed the Delhi Police for abruptly shifted Wangchuk from the Jantar Mantar protest site to Safdarjung and appealed to the general public to set up a protest site in every state and continue the hunger strike.

Wangchuk, who was on a hunger strike at Jantar Mantar, protesting against the failures of the education system, paper leaks, and demanding pradhan’s resignation, was admitted to Safdarjung hospital on his day 21 of strike by the Delhi Police.

Furthermore, the CJP protest march will begin at 9 am today on the first day of Parliament’s Monsoon session, which is scheduled from July 20 to August 13.

The CJP protesters have also urged the opposition to raise the issue of education failure, NEET paper leaks, and students’ suicide cases in the parliament session.
