CLAT 2021 to be conducted today; All you need to know

NEW DELHI: The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) will conduct CLAT 2021 today from 2 pm to 4 pm. The offline-based CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) will be conducted in more than 80 cities across the country for around 70,000 candidates. Candidates who are going to appear in the national-level law entrance exam should ideally report by 1 pm, at their designated exam centre.

Key points to note before appearing in CLAT 2021

1. Candidates must carry a CLAT admit card 2021 to their exam centre. The admit card along with a valid photo ID card will be used for candidate verification at the test centre.

   

2. Do not forget to carry a blue or black ballpoint pen to the test centre. Using a pencil for answering questions is not allowed.

3. In addition to the above-mentioned items, carry a transparent water bottle and sanitiser. Also, wear mask and hand gloves all the time while maintaining social distancing.

4. After 2:15 pm, no candidate will be allowed to enter the examination hall. So, reach the exam centre of CLAT 2021 as per the given time.

Exam details UG-CLAT 2021

Total number of objective type questions - 150

Sections to be covered - General knowledge and current affairs, legal aptitude and knowledge, English, Maths and Logical reasoning

Maximum marks - 150, with a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer.

Total number of questions - 120

Maximum marks - 120, with a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer

Experts on last-minute preparation tips

1. In a recent video on the Legal Awareness Series, Faizan Mustafa, president of the consortium has advised candidates to read all the instructions very carefully. Especially candidates should note that questions marked for review will not be evaluated. He also says that candidates should read fast in order to complete the paper within the stipulated time.

2. CLAT expert, Sonal Gupta advised candidates to refer to the previous year exam analysis to understand the types of questions they may expect this year.

3. Abhishek Chakravarty, Assistant Professor of Law at Sai University and Faculty advises candidates to make a strategy on which sections to attempt first and how much time to allot for each section. He also says candidates should leave some time for revision at the end of the paper.
