CLAT 2021: Consortium releases detailed exam and COVID-19 guidelines

On exam day, candidates must bring with them the admit card and ID proof and reach the exam centre an hour before the exam starts. Sheets of paper aren’t allowed inside exam venues.

NEW DELHI: The consortium of NLUs has released a slew of CLAT 2021 exam guidelines for the national-level exam that will be conducted in pen-and-paper mode on July 30. These include COVID-19 related guidelines, instructions regarding items that candidates are allowed and not allowed to carry, proper conduct during the exam, and admit card and exam centre-related guidelines.

As per the latest guidelines, candidates have been instructed to reach the CLAT 2021 exam centre at least an hour before the start of the exam. No candidate will be allowed to enter the CLAT 2021 exam centre after 15 minutes of the commencement of the CLAT exam.

For entry into the exam venue, candidates are required to produce the printout of the CLAT admit card 2021 and a valid photo ID proof in original.

Also, the consortium will not make provisions for a baggage counter nor will it be responsible for the loss or damage property/gadgets of candidates. Candidates are allowed to do an advance recce of the exam centre, but not beyond the main entrance gate.

  • Blue/Black Ball Pen

  • Admit Card

  • Any original photo ID proof issued by the Government.

  • Transparent water bottle.

  • Own mask, gloves and personal hand sanitiser.

  • Self-health declaration

  • Disability certificate for PWD candidates

CLAT 2021 exam-day guidelines - Items that are not allowed inside the exam hall

  • Electronic/communication devices such as mobile phones

  • Any kind of watch, calculator, headphones, etc.

  • Sheets of paper including blank sheets are not allowed inside the examination hall.

Candidates may also note that the consortium or the security staff at the exam centre will not be held responsible for the loss and damage of any property/gadgets of the candidates.

CLAT 2021 - Proper conduct during the exam

  • Candidates will not be allowed to seek clarifications from anybody while the test is ongoing.

  • Candidates found indulging in malpractice like cheating or assisting other candidates will be disqualified and legal action will be initiated against such candidates.

COVID-19 related guidelines

  • If a candidate has recently been tested COVID-19 positive and is under medical surveillance or in isolation, he/she will not be permitted to take the CLAT 2021 exam.

  • Candidates must bring their own masks and sanitisers, and take necessary precautions, including maintaining social distancing and wearing masks at all times.

  • Candidates must produce a duly filled and signed medical self-declaration to the administrative staff at the entrance.

CLAT 2021 admit card related instructions

  • The CLAT 2021 exam centre allotted to the candidates is final and any request for change in the exam centre will not be entertained.

  • Candidates must keep the admit card and a valid photo ID proof with them.

  • Candidates must sign on the CLAT admit card 2021 in the presence of the Invigilator. The signature must match the one uploaded in the CLAT application form 2021.
